For those that didn't see the party election broadcast earlier today - Labour have launched a new website to attack Dave Cameron and the Conservatives: http://www.davethechameleon.com/
Quote: Dave changes from one colour to another, depending on whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear.
To supporters of the blue party, he changes deepest blue and tells them he is 'Conservative to the core'.
To supporters of the red party he changes into finest red, and tells them he is the 'heir to Blair'.
And to supporters of the yellow party, he changes into brightest yellow and says he is a 'liberal Conservative'.
He flip-flops from one position to another, depending on whatever he thinks you want to hear.
But underneath it all David Cameron will always remain true blue through and through.
'I am Conservative to the core of my being, as those who know me best will testify'.
David Cameron, Telegraph, January 23 2006
I must admit to being quite amused at seeing Dave on the TV, I think its going to be an effective strategy against us. However it will be interesting to see whether Labour can continue to run the "Dave is unprincipled" message and the "Dave is still Tory" message in the same attack.
Such campaigning, along with the Conservatives failure still to gain much in the polls, could energise the Right to attack Dave. Watch this space. |

You think this could be effective?!?!? Surely it makes Labour a laughing stock....or is this what politics has come to? |

Do you even have to ask? The way most major political parties act has been a disgrace for rather a longtime, so much for honest debate and winning people over with actual ideas and proper arguments. |

Did you see that advert? I've never seen any so pathetic in all my life. Particular 'gems' were the fact that the Labour party itself basically didn't get a mention, they cut a Culture Club song to play over Cameron/chameleon which said 'a man without conviction', lampooned him for being 'dave' not 'David' (Tony-Anthony) and in a bizarre move said he'd pretended to be 'yellow'! Yellow stands for what exactly? |

| It is pretty hard to satirise what's going on at the moment. You've got Labour hadning out peerages to plutocrats and Conservatives running around hugging trees. You couldn't make it up. |

Let's not forget the Lib Dems! It's not every century that a politicians gets busted with two rentboys involved in caerophillia (can't spell it) not that it taints my perception of him - who cares? - but it's certainly funny. |

Will be staying Tory unless an alternative comes along. Anyways will be doing my part locally to make sure a Conservative party that has nothing to say on the largest tax burden in history, the disgraceful state of our civil liberties, and the important cultual issues of our time - but everything to say on some melting snow in Norway, starts to get its priorities back into line |
