This day marks the day of our greatest Joy for upon this day our heavenly father bestowed upon us the greatest gift ever ever given, salvation and mercy by means of the ultimate sacrifice himself upon the cross.
It is however an indicator of our own guilt for had we His own rebellious children been able to do as we ought this sacrifice by our father in heaven which caused him such great pain both physical and spiritual, would not have been necessary.
The metaphysics of it are simply this no man has ever been without sin. That being the case no one completely human could pay the price for any other human for his own debt however small was yet too great nor could a mortal even had he managed perfection been able to effect by his sacrifice anything that had come before or after for we are ourselves while we wear this flesh finite in time but only a man could pay the price for man so it was necessary that one who was both man and God be the sacrifice. Thus we come to Jesus both wholly man and wholly God who had his existence before time was but took on flesh to become a man without sin that we might receive a wholly undeserved pardon. |
