Anyone care to consider what the potential or perfection of the human race is since we are created in the image of God?
Greater than the wisdom of Solomon? Greater than the Strength of Samson? |

The human race will destroy itseld BEFORE it receives perfection, regardless of any religious beliefs you may or may not have. Humans have a great potential, if only we all would embrace it fully |

Yea, just look at what mankind has done with the "God's creation" of Earth. Not to mention the uncountable lives lost in the sake of religion. Its somewhat ironic. Is there enough hope in mankind and society that we will actually survive or will we wipe ourselves out? |

if you beleive in god, then nowhere near that of "god's". he must make us imperfect in order to look down his nose at us much like a snotty person does to a hobo....we must succumb to his greatness and bow down because of our created flaws...
well im atheist, so i think our potential is only as much as we desire it to be... if you care enough, you can make something damn good, not perfect, but damn good...if you really want to.
its all in motivation, incentive, and desire |

We were built to be perfect, and made the choice not to be. Upon death, we will be made perfect. Your characterization of God is erroneous and has no basis. |

I don't believe God designed us to be perfect, but without sin, and since the apple we can't ever reach it again. A question I would like to ask you is what is perfect? Living without sin is the only thing I could say is perfect and that is unattainable. You should always strive for perfection, but you have to realize you will never obtain it , at least on earth. When you truly believe in Jesus Christ through Gods eyes you are perfect. As long as you fulfill Gods purpose for you, thats all you need to achieve.
One of the purposes mentioned in the purpose driven life is to be "Christlike" not Christ. Because you must realize that we will always fall short of the glory of God without Jesus. |
