I am actually human. of the Caucasian male variety with a little more compassion than my similarly characteristic peers.
But, now, THATS something of an insult. To be grouped in the same category of folks who put little on animal life except what they can get from crucifying them.
I hope that isnt the case but I see it in old men like Leon. Ive got uncles like him and they would be the last ide save out of a burning building. Oh, I would rescue the animals before them.
oh well. you dont like my value system? what are YOU going to do about it? Were not here to play "my value system is better than yours". We can either learn from each other or exchange insults.
So far, i'm learning alot about what you say on these boards doesnt neccessarily reflect what you do in person. In other words, it seems some use these boards as emotional outlet for their rage against people.
Right, Leon?
I don't know why you refuse to read, understand, or remember what I have said MANY MANY MANY times! I like animals as much as you do and want people to treat them cruelly as little as you do! I just think that humans are more important than any animal ever born! It is just a fact, I don't hate animals or want them tortured to death, I merely place a human's life above that of an animal. |

I read and see that you are this way.
People like yourself are many. I dont fault you for such. Am I faulting you? I am responding to your impersonation of me as an animal.
I do not, as you said, see these as derogatory.
My position is being defended, thats all.
You dont seem like an animal abuser, but you seem impatient with my values.
Which, is fine. We learn on here, about people.
Ive never been put into a situation where I needed to weigh humans vs. animals. The only response I can give you is peppered with idealism. I would like that animals survive, and humans too.
From my perspective, animals have limited capacity to defend themselves. They roam this earth simply to live like you and I.
My perspective is based around the idea that, just like babies, animals are innocent.
But, whatever. I'm not saying you should think like me. |

But, lets be realistic here.
When has this situation ever arisen?
In that case, I would be able to answer. You need more specifics for an intelligent debate on values.
So you would think about saving Fluffy to the same extent as someone you love?
Yes. if i love "Fluffy". Why not?
Wow, you would save an insignificant dog over a person your love. |

Well I respect your views, even if I find them a little strange. :) Like you said, I don't expect you to change your views, but I hope I've given you something to think about. |

| Well, if it was my dad/mom or my dog then I'd choose my parents. But for anyone else, (Ok, other than super VIP like the President, the Pope etc.) I'd choose my dog. |
