Bird flu found in Scotlad. Not to worried about this as of yet. It is unlikely Scotland will be the place it mutates to spread from human to human there isn't enough people who come in contact with birds if it dose we're f*cked. In any case millions will die worldwide if it mutates where ever it mutates. |

A food scare causes more public hysteria than a terrorist attack.
Wait till the right time, stock up on cheap chicken and save a fortune. |

The worry is not about food supplies.
Surely you have read the news.
The virus can kill humans. If it mutates with the common human-flu.
Then you have a killer virus that is highly contagious in humans.
WELCOME TO YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE
the stuff that they make movies out of. |

| But on the news, we've been told that the strain isn't infectious to humans. The only people that it could possibly affect are poultry handlers. Well as far as I know anyway. |

It can affect anyone in close contact with a contaminated bird. What the real fear is, is that if the bird flu strand, HN somthing or other, infects someone who has both the HN strain and the normal flu virus, at which point they fear bird flu will mutate so that it can pass between human beings... |

Yes, yes of course. But we aren't in danger just eating chicken surely? |
