OK then I'll rephrase that to say that no "Northern Irish" man has voted to elect him. Happy?
British then?

They couldn't be the same sort of people - those people are English, Scottish and Welsh respectively. And why would they vote for an issue on Northern Ireland?[/quote]
Because its part of Britain, we look after each other you know. |

You make no sense here mate. For a minute, I thought you had a bit of sense but I realised the mistake I made a couple of pages ago.
No Northern Irish man has elected Peter Hain - he was elected by a bunch of Welsh people. He cannot be unelected by a Northern Irish man. Why do I have to keep repeating myself to you simpletons? I don't mean to be offensive here, but if you just read my posts and accept the fact that you are wrong and ignorant of the situation, it would be much easier. There is no point in arguing without substance. |

I didn't ask for Mr. Spock to be the secretary of state for Wales but there you go we had to put up with him trying to sing Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau in a very embarrassing way.  |

mulberrymagnet,
To you it maybe the UK but to the world it is the north of Ireland. Just because your country is in occupation does not make the people of the north british, it did not change their genetic make-up. It appears that you are trying to humiliate my friend De Bhaldraithe; he won't bow down, he is IRISH! Shame on you indeed.

You obviously haven't read the GFA which will lead up to a United Ireland.

All the while gleefully ignoring the fact that the majority of the Northern Irish don't want to join with Eire. They want to be British. It's especially irritating when foreigners, who are neither Irish nor British, would have the democratic wishes of the majority of NI ridden roughshod over by Britain unlitaerally pulling out....... |

Yes, in maybe 20 years, if the northern Catholics breed like rabbits and if the southern Irish lose their marbles in another referendum and decide to risk having all those nutters in their country.
Or, it could be that with a closer EU, in 20 years time no one gives a rats ass about a united Ireland. |

Worded properly, this could have been a very good post. All of the points that you make are very valid and very true.
You say about Catholics breeding like rabbits. There needs to be a bit of elaboration on that, although for the dumb American or Englishman reading the Daily Star this may seem apt, it is not.
Being a teacher in a Catholic school, and being part of the larger board of Catholic schooling, I would suggest to you, with experience and knowledge that Catholics do not "breed like rabbits" anymore, to my and my colleagues's disfortune. Of course they used to and were renowned for it - still are appranetly. |

| I think the reason why people insult in a foreign language, apart from the pathetic sense of superiority, is the fantasy that we care enough to actually bother to go and translate it. |

It wasn't an insult. More to the point, it wasn't made in aforeign language. An English version is given directly below in italics - it was actually a compliment. |

Sorry about that, bit of paranoia there.
What you probably don't realise, is that English men have been enjoying all that repressed Catholic sexuality over here for 150 years, and vice versa. Most English are at least partly Irish. It just adds to the pointlessness of it. |

The pointlessness of what? I'm not Catholic, these comments don't bother me in the slightest. I see a changing world and the Catholic Church should adapt to fit that. Saying that, I honestly couldn't care less. |

| I just meant the pointlessness of the Troubles in general. We should have had a GFA in 1977 not 97. The English were ready to give you one in 1967. |

It is pathetic when people come on a website assuming they know their opponents; do not be deceived. You have no idea my origin of birth nor anything about me so how can you make such a broad assumption.
When will England get the fcuk out of the north of IRELAND and leave Ireland to the Irish! I am not meddling your flippin government is.
AKAMad,
You sir are a bigot!

Nothing like alittle sarcasm to motivate a post!

Feeling alittle inferior?

That MUST be why english men have a world renown reputation for being the worst lovers!

Tsk, Tsk It bothers me, it a very bigoted comment that is uncalled for. He has been stereotyping the entire thread. |
