Pam Anderson received boos by a majority of the audience at the Juno Awards in Halifax. Definatly not a good career move on her part and definatly not gaining any fandom in her home country. Damn crazy celebrities.

Any reason why she was booed?

I think people that boo her are the morality police. she's sexually suggestive and this offends purists.

i'm gonna have to assume this the case until its stated WHY.

she was booed because americans don't like their celebrities to have liberal opinions. so what if her career is affected, at least she has the guts to stand up for what she believes in with conviction.

He's right. You're being a moron by sitting there clicking emoticons instead of refuting his points.

whether you laugh or not, demonic spoon still thinks you acted like a moron(i am sure others did too) by posting lols instead of saying something intelligent.

Its true americans do not like to have celebrities to have outpsoken opinions on ANYTHING....look what happened to the dixie chicks when they spoke against Bush about the war. Their "fans" collected cds , put them in a pile, and bulldozed over them.
Thats crazy, just cause they were being "unpatriotic" or outspoken , i thought this was supposed to be America the upholder of free speeech, not "watch what you say, dont speak opinions in public".......its plain stupid

and Pamela Anderson , totally irregardless of her position in society, DOES have alot of guts to take on the role she does.

onezero, you have alot to answer for

Why do I care what anyone, let alone demonic spoon, thinks? I think YOU'RE a moron, what does that prove? Absolutely nothing.

You can have free speech, but you still have to suffer the consequences if someone doesn't like it, like you explained with the Dixie Chicks, that is a perfect example of someone saying something others didn't want to hear.

Pamela Anderson doesn't have guts, she just thinks that it is the job of celebrities to support various radical left-wing causes. It's called group-think, look at all the far-left celebrities. It's not individuality or guts.

How do you know she doesn't? The way I know is because SHE IS DOING IT!!!! It is group-think, like I just said, they all support the same causes, all of them radical left-wing.

Just to correct you, American do have free speach. That was why the Dixie Chicks could speak out with fear of reprisial by the government. Free speach does not mean that everyone has to agree with you or that other people cannot show their opinion which is what their fans did by destroying cds. Many celeberties speak out for and against issues all the time, be it voting, gun control, animal rights or what ever but free speach gives other people the right to voice an opposing opinion even if that opinion is telling the celeberties to shut it. No one is required to flow the opinion of another and celeberties do not have to listen to fans telling them to shut up.

Free speech doesn't meant that there should be no private repercussions for what you say. It just means that the government shouldn't prevent you from saying what you want to say. The Dixie Chicks had a legal right to say what they said--I don't recall hearing that the government did a thing to them for it. The former fans also have a right to free expression, which they exercised by destroying their own property.

I refuse to listen to people like Alec Baldwin, Chix with Dix, any celeb that openly supported Tookie Williams. That is reprisal in my own small way. Freedom of speech doesn't garantee freedom from people thinking they are idiots.
