Good Christian fellow: You can keep your God - and heaven too, for all its cold comfort! - I’d rather a dog for a friend.

loyalty doesn't garrantee I have to treat it any better than any other animal. Blind loyalty isn't always a good thing, why reward it becuae it's a dog

It seems your PETA supporting, animal rights agenda is corrupting your reality. YOu have place animals on a pedestal equal to humans.

Let me ask this, do you think humans own pets, or do you think humans are the pet's gaurdians?

Guardians- that is we have responsibilities towards our pets as they are under our care, and at the same time they give us some sort of comfort or distraction. Yeah, it's a symbiotic thing- but then a dog is still a dog. I don't share my meals with my dog, for instance, nor is there a bedroom with a comfy king-sized bed for our dog in our house, or a bathroom with a shower, sink, or toilet for the canine. Neither is he normally allowed to come inside. Generally, he respects us and we respect him. I mean, come on, he's just a dog.

Sure, there might be people who like their pets more than other humans, but I guess that's either a case of sociopathy or isolation or simple preference (in which case you're probably running with some sort of psychological condition). Doesn't mean you should force that kind of thinking on someone else.

I agree with this. A woman will stab you in the back, children will turn on you as can parents, but I know for a fact my dog will fight till his dying breath defending me. I've met and never will meet a human being with such loyalty and compassion. My dog is always happy to see me, no matter what day it is. I put my dog's life above and would try and save him over pretty much every human being I know, save a few.

wow--that's really screwed up

I hope you didn't actually mean that.

i'm glad i dont live near you

if I ever needed help, you would just go and feed your dog
that's despicable

anyone who puts an animal's life above a humans needs to rearrange their priorities
their morals are really screwed up

Unless you see something in the Constitution giving animals rights, they don't have any.

The Constitution doesn't give rights, it guarantees them. I'm given my rights by my Creator. Animals are not.
I know.... sometimes I just get the wording wrong.
