Math May not be All it's Cracked Up to Be!

A recent study shows that 99 out of 100 tested 1st graders could not solve simple calculus problems. Experts say these results may indicate that the laws of mathematics may not be as infallible as people once thought. Many are suggesting that it is no longer worth the time and money to educate students in the areas of math and science.

It's AMAZING to see God answer prayer.

The other day, I flipped a quarter fifty times, and it came up heads every time! Isn't that funny - a quarter with Washington on both sides!

Of coarse its the parents fault....But why did god allow it ...And if he did why wouldn't he provide resorces such as maybe rain to let them grow some food...

Because the parents are human and therefore have Free Will, and therefore they are 100% responsible for the decisions they make using that Free Will.

God doesn't enter into the picture one way or the other.

Learn how to use your Free Will a little more responsibly, and maybe we'll have fewer problems on the planet..

Well stop assuming..because you don't know what you're talking about. God will do what He will do in His own time. You can shake your fist and question His motives if you like...but I trust Him.

As for helping people here. Why don't you sponser a child?
Let's not..

Let's instead leave the Asians to practice their own religion.. I think "Gospel for Asia" has done enough damage as is..

Which is it? Feed starving people yourself, or leave them alone?

You're confusing people.

You complain that God doesn't step into to help these people and save them from their irresponsibility. Now if god came in and fixed everything would that be just or right? People need to start being responsiblie for their actions. Let me guess your a socialist or a communist?

Worry about yourself and your own nation before you try worrying about the starving Africans. This is especially sound advice for Americans since to a huge degree, the reason people are starving in Africa is b/c of militaristic U.S. foreign policy initiatives.

Giving more $$ to the U.S. government won't exactly solve that problem now will it?

If God wanted you to do something about the starving Africans, you would have been born in Africa w/ the resources to help and aid the starving Africans. As it is, you've been born in America w/ a rather different set of resources. Follow the straight and narrow path.. don't let yourself be decieved and fall off of it.

I agree that people need to fix there own problems.

This is also the reason why Jesus DID NOT die for your sins. To presume that he did is -- just like you say -- neither just nor right. Your sins are your own problem. You fix them. Even God cannot (and will not) do that for you.

Actually Jesus did die for your sin.

And He did it because neither you nor I could ever "fix" our sin. Yet He needed to satisfy His wrath against sin. He did that by absorbing the Wrath upon Himself.....and allowing those that accept Him as their sole source of Salvation as redeemed. Since our sin to begin with is not accepting His authority…and rejecting that we need Him for every tiny thing….especially Salvation.

Quote: Worry about yourself and your own nation before you try worrying about the starving Africans.

That sort of contradicts what you said about having to give in order to receive.

Sounds to me more like you are interested in promoting some anti-US political philosophy than anything else.

Sins cannot be "fixed", only forgiven. God can and will do that if you repent.

Posing as a Christian to undermine people's faith just goes hand in hand with posing as a "real" American to undermine America.

Classic LaRouche tactics.

You're taking that quote completely out of context.

The context in which it appears is the Commandment to be Born Again.

This is your responsibility.. "believing on the Son who he sent" is just a metaphor to get you there.

How?? :rotf:

Quote: Sounds to me more like you are interested in promoting some anti-US political philosophy than anything else.
Again... how?! :rotf:

I am pro-American. If you support Bush, or if you support any presidential administration since the end of WWII, you are an enemy of the Republic and you are gullty of the highest treason known to our nation. Most certainly any such allegiance would disqualify you from the privilege of calling yourself an "American", for your beliefs would be completely, 100% at variance w/ those of our founding Constitution and documents.

You still can't figure out who it is that I'm working for, can you??

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Odd.... John 3:16 doesn't even mention sins, nevermind claim that Jesus died for them.

Actually it's context does, but you probably won't recognize this, unless you are familiar with the Tanahk and it's symbolism, it is a parable that relates, in symbolic language, that Y'shua took our sins on His shoulders as a propitiary sacrifice (a paschal lamb) in order for YHWH forgive our sins. This sacrifice is symbolized by the brass serpent that Moses lifted up. Brass is associated with judgment, and serpents are associated with sin, so a brass serpent being lifted up represents the judgment of sin. Just as the Lamb took this judgment for our sins in our stead, so that we may have eternal life.

Quote: John 3:14 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Fortunately Y'shua simplifies the fact that He died for our sins in other statements.
Quote: Mt 26:28 -
[color=red]for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

You can find the reference to Moses lifting up the serpent in the wilderness in Numbers chapter 21, if you would like to read about this for yourself.

Read about it and find out if you can see what Y'shua meant when He made that mysterious comment that related Christ to a brass serpent who was lifted up in the wilderness.

Perhaps you understand that sin is what causes death, as a Christian Scientist?

It is very difficult to understand. And I understand if you can't accept this.
All I ask is that you pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you when you study this or even just the Bible in general.
