U.H.A.U.L. -Us Humans Against Unnecessary Litter

How many of you get frustrated with all of the litter here and there on this planet? Don't you think we should all do our part when we see something that can be of use elsewhere. If you are a being who litters, please consider otherwise for everyone's sake. How can we have a beautiful gardens and habitations on this planet that will contribute to our health and wellbeing and good moods if people litter? What do you think the action of littering portrays about us psychologically and sociologically? Thoughts, Ideas, Solutions, Opinions?

Well, littering is wrong. I was raised to make any place outdoors that I enjoyed, to be a better/cleaner place when I left than when I got there. I take out my own litter, as well as some litter that was already there. I'm teaching my sons the same.

Litter shows selfish ignorance. Most I've heard justify it by saying it keeps their cars clean, or that there was no trashcan. I would rather have a dirty car than drive by a dirty road.

On this issue, when I was a teenager, a friend of mine started to throw out a fastfood bag out of my car window. I told him not to, but he did anyway. I immediately stopped the car, turned to my friend and said "pick up the garbage or walk." As we were about 5 miles from town, he picked up the garbage. He never tried that crap again.
