So they fall in love with someone and naturally want to get married. No matter if there is no natural way to pro-create, they think they have found thier role in life and seek to play it out.
Are you attracted to women? When did you decide to be attracted to women?
Homosexuals can reproduce at a faster rate than hetero's can, think about it two gay guys impregnating two different surogat mothers
Did I say something wrong here? I don't think so but maybe I did.
In away I guess I just defended homosexuals.
The line 'the people in question believe themselves to be that way naturally' sounded like a criticism against this point of view. If it wasn't meant to be then my bad.

the "choice of sexuality" debate as much as others.
once again i tend not to look at posters across threads.

that defend homosexuality condone cheating on their homosexual partners as a way of reproducing?
cheating would imply going around behind your parteners back. If your partener consents to allowing you to impregnate a different woman it is not cheating.
Quote: Think about it, two gays have sex with two lesbians and reproduce just as
fast as two pairs of heteros. Let us put to rest that useless debate.
think about it who said anything about the gays reproducing with the lesbians? it could be with two random women who are not in a current relationship.
Quote: Please realize that the "fundamentalist" here is not always attacking.
I would much rather see understanding of both sides.
Best wishes to you all.
Please realise the wording made me think you were attacking the point of view, many times this happens again if it wasn't like that forgive me. |

Wow, this is quite the thread.
I think pretty much every issue that can be addressed has been, except one.
In reference to the 'slippery slope' concept leading to bestiality, marriage is a form of contract require consent from both parties. Men and women can consent, animals on the other hand cannot. Broader legal changes than simple alterations of the definition of marriage would be necessary before such a thing could occur.
I'd also like to point out that most support for polygamy and resistance against homosexuality come from the same source, religious groups.
Also, while it may not fit our society, polygamy is not necessarily a terrible thing. If you take a trip to Africa, you'll meet women who're perfectly happy that their husbands have other wives, because they know there'll always be someone to look after their children. |
