Yes. Ass kicked out the door.
WHY is not was.
The ol' Grandmaster was hitting the bottle that night, and missed the "why" part as a result of his blurred vision. It happens. |

She was passionate to the point of blindness, often losing sight of logic or the petty insults which she so often used. She did keep the volume of posts high, but frankly, it was a lot of retreading old information with a few new (though invariably not much more clever) insults.
I remember her thread about "My abortion experience." In general, I try to accept people's personal anecdotes as valid, while keeping in mind that they are anecdotal evidence, which doesn't prove much. This hinges, however, on the story being actually plausible.
Her story ended up with her being put under general anesthetic after having declined it before. General anethesia is pretty serious business; for a non-emergency medical operation, written patient consent is required. It also requires some level of preperation; I don't know all the exact details, but at the very least, patient characteristics like weight (and probably blood pressure, age, and a few other factors which I am unsure of) need to be calculated. No consent, preperation or money was given for the anesthesia, yet her account said that she was nonetheless administered one.
This absolutely screamed implausible to me, and I stated so. In turn, I was insulted, told that I was intolerent, was unable to handle the truth, unsympathetic, etc. To be fair, I was completely unsympathetic; the story seemed like a load, and she did not even address my claims.
That's Sailor Moon to a tee, ladies and gentlemen. To be fair, outside of the abortion forum she was quite civil in my experience, but in the abortion forum, where she made the majority of her contributions, she was anything but. |

I was friends with her, and shared many PM's; that is until the issue of abortion reared it's ugly head. From then on in, I was the enemy. It goes go to show what a divisive controlling manipulative issue this is, and used as such.
Subjective Moral Issues is not something to legislate. |

Actually I found her as bad or worse outside of the forum. Near the end, she was sending me PMs full of insults and Cusswords. Finally, she looked up my email address, and started sending me shi**y emails full of insults, even looking up other sites I’d been to and surveys I’d taken, and insulting me about them. Kind of weird actually. I don’t think she had much else in her life. |

Ok, she deserved to be banned. Not the first time I've been wrong about something. :-D |

Consantly posted deliberate attempts to consure up emotions, and used pictures of dead late term fetuses as a debating point.
She lowered the entire intelectual level of the abortion forum down a peg. Good ridance. |

No there aren't. You haven't been in here enough apparently.

Griffy, the woman was insufferable. I swear to god she must have insulted people on this forum more than 1000 times. Seriously with enough time, I can prove it. Toward the end, I think something was wrong with her. Her posts become literally erratic and indecipherable. The place was in a state of literally turmoil thanks to her. Now it is calm.
Salor Moon is the best. She was by my side on this forum when my father passed away. She didn't deserve to be banned. |

She was banned because of personal attacks. The only "threat" she posed was lowering the quality of discourse, which she did so on many occasions, despite warnings. It had nothing to do with her positions, only the inappropriate ways in which she expressed them. |

Fair enough. But Sailor Moon's personal attacks were a lot more vicious than anything I've seen against you, and some of the people who observed her attacks felt them to be inappropriate in the extreme, including the administration.
She was requested to cease such attacks both in public and in private, warned many times, suspended, warned again when she resumed posting and the attacks continued, then banned. Such pathological insistence on rude and unacceptable posting behavior certainly merits a ban in any case. |

Yup, these things do happen. They don't change the fact that they are against the forum rules. Considering that personal jibes are generally accepted to a certain degree at PCF, and most people here are thick-skinned enough to not let such personal attacks phase them, it really only becomes a problem when such personal attacks seriously detract from and affect the tone of debate. Which Sailor Moon did on numerous occasions.
I've received my fair share of insults at the abortion forum and elsewhere. I've certainly dished out quite a few, as well. But there is a point where it becomes too extreme, a point which Sailor Moon crossed on far too many occasionas, despite warnings.
[quote="TheGirlNextDoor]I realize this forum is a hot bed of disagreements and that this particular subject matter is highly charged with strong opinions.
However, please stick to the original topic and stay away from attacking the poster, and focus on debating the topic.
If you have a problem with a particular post, please report it and state the reason why you are making the report.
Thank you.

We do. They're called mods. The recognize such behavior, warn that it is inappropriate, then act accordingly if their warning are not met. |
