WTF!
What could possibly be a bigger virtue than embracing a technology that will save millions of lives!? :? |

2. It's not a troll thread, unless you make it one.
3. Just doing the, "Let's ask"
4. Zero count, even still.

This is ridiculous. Anyone should know that a religion as large and well established as Islam, Christianity, etc, will have many "virtues", hence their large followings. They have to have SOME justifications for existence! But seriously, this is just Islam bashing under the pre-text of religious dialogue.

| Those who are seeking truth would soon get it... A joy of separating religion from politics is a joy of freedom. …A freedom without any morality? Since the balance is gone virtue of religions have blown... |

Gnostic,
1. I'm sorry you feel that this is not a troll thread.
2. Seems like you have used this ploy many times on others.
3.I could be wrong.
4. You need to calm down I think.
5. How would someone who's agnostic understand what virtue is in religion?
6. Still zero for a virtue count.
7. Is it really this hard to find a virtue in islam? Lets ask?

This is the very first time I have ever accused anyone of creating a troll thread. I am just a humble user and that decision is the moderator's or admin of this site not mine. So I'll apologize for that. But not for my opinion of the reason you created this thread. That, I think, is perfectly clear to all.
Also, I don't know what you're on about with claiming any one agnostic, atheist, or zealous believer in religion are better qualified to make observations about the moralities, ethics and philosophies concerning religion over the others. Do you mean to say that one must be an adherent of a religion in order to observe and form opinions of such? Would you like to just make the views of every atheist, agnostic or anyone else who does'nt follow your specific and approved brand of religion squelched? Got news for ya.....atheists and agnostics and non-believers of Christianity in general are the fastest growing segment of religious belief in the United States today....looks like you have a whole lot of people out there to try and make inconsequential. |

1.A religious virtue is something learned from religion that guide's the pupil to a reachable perfect morality.
2. Seems this thread got put in RELIGION
3. That's cool by me.
4. Seems someone was making this into a troll thread.
5. I find it absurd that no one has pointed out atleast one islamic virtue.
6. Is there none?
7. Lets ask?
8. Still zero count.

Virtue from theGreek αρετη and Latin virtus literally means exelence, its normally taken to mean moral aspects of charater, but considering we are talking about a relgion it much then mean aspects of Islam that can be considered 'exelent'.
I've seen plenlty allready, the OP however is choosing to selectively ignore them and try and drag this thread out untill he gets answers he likes. |

4. Perfect Morality* learning of God, understanding things taught of God and apply these virtue's to one's soul.

| You want to know how Islam guides a person to God? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that through submission you find God, according to Islam. Just a guess, though. |

Quote: 1.A religious virtue is something learned from religion that guide's the pupil to a reachable perfect morality. So, just so we are ALL clear here, we are now talking specifically about religious virtues that deal with morality? I'm not sure if you are aware that words like "perfect" and "morality" are SUBJECTIVE, but they are. So the whole premise of your conversation varies from person to person. That having been said, Islam, and many of it's followers display just as much if not more virtue than any other religion. A prime example would be comparing someone like yourself, with someone like Saracen...you do the math. 8:)
Quote: Seems someone was making this into a troll thread Yes, it does seem that way....
Quote: I find it absurd that no one has pointed out atleast one islamic virtue . That is not even half as absurd as you actually getting what you're asking for, then ignoring it.
I have an idea...why don't you list some virtues of your religion so we can see what you will actually accept as an answer. |

Perhaps you'd care to explain why each one is not a virtue? |
