This is a bit of a shameless plug, but I want to make you all aware of my mom's recently published book that we are all very excited about: Musings of a Mediocre Gardener. It is a collection of reflections inspired by this large hunger garden we had. The book makes a great gift, so if you or anyone you know know likes gardening or just wants to read musings on faith, community, service, and family, please pick it up or recommend it.

I do like the title, and screen my dates by asking if they are successful at keeping plants alive. Well, if they aren't...we have a good laugh and there isn't a second date.

I think it'd be nice if Amazon added an intro/overview as with many of the other books, or at least a few pages one could view to get an idea of the writing style/content.

Also, if it's there and I missed it...please point it out. n' hope that sales go very well for her. :-D

We are working on the whole search inside feature of Amazon. The guys at Chalice aren't that internet hip, though.

How hard is it to get a book published, curiously? I've always wanted to write one. :-D

It depends. We've been trying to get this one published for about nine years. It requires persistence, dedication, and luck.

It is being published by Chalice Press, a small non-fiction Christian publishing company.
