There is a problem in the food industry, that is a fact, there are millions of animals being killed in a unhuman way, there is land in the rainforest being destroyed to raise cattle to be used in amiricans favorite fast foot restaurants, etc... this is the problem, not raising cattle humanly and killing it for food later on. PETA takes things to the extreme and wants everybody to be vegan, something that will never happen, they should be focusing more on problems that can be solved instead of utopic solutions. I have been vegetarian for 6 years and I say, if you want to be a vegetarian/vegan do so but dont force your opinions on others, you can try to teach them but not bombard them with your ideology. And I have heard and read about some misconducts by PETA so I am not going to defend it, it does have a few good causes that i support though.

Ah, for all the hunters, one thing is hunting for food, other is hunting for fun which is pretty damn immoral.

Animals wouldn't hunt if it weren't fun. Watch a cat stalking prey. It's having the time of it's life. We are the same. There are few times that you are as truly alive as when you are involved in a hunt.

Have u ever been hunting George?

Also, if all animals are equal and killing them is bad i'm sorry to say that you've swallowed many spiders while u were sleeping and they had to go threw your inhuman acidic digestive system... I could see their pain as all of their eyes watched their spidery skin get burned off by your stomach acid.
    :-D

Humm, the if i get a rush killing my next door neighbour, do you suggest I do so? Animals don't hunt for fun, they hunt to survive, when an animal catches its prey, he eats it and doesnt behead it and hang it on a wall.
@Sandazi, I have heard that argument countless times, i bet soon someone is gonna throw out the the bugs that die everytime someone drives... But again I dont wanna imposed my views on not eating meat to others, you want to eat it do it, you dont want to great... Therefore there are only benefits of not eating meat while there can be lots of health problems (and other problems) with meat eaters.
Thanx for the constructive criticism though guys, this is a good board..

Bears prefer to mangle animal rights advocates. Does the name "Timothy Treadwell" ring a bell? (Google him, if you don't know him).

Growing up, I had an extremely well-fed housecat. She had no need at all to hunt to survive. Yet, she loved killing mice and rats. Why? She didn't need to do it to survive, she always had a full bowl of food. It's because hunting is fun. Watch a housecat sometime stalking a bug. They are having the time of their life. That's not survival, it's fun. I will grant, that most instinctual survival things are fun--sex, eating, hunting. All are definitely fun.

There are also health problems with plant eaters.

Uh, yeeeaaahhh.... I think I'm gonna pull my offer off of the table....

Your 'compassion' for all things cute and cuddly is more closely aligned with the fringe than you're likely to admit. Fortunately, you make statements like the above that prove it without a doubt.

Smokescreens are for the weak of character.
