A busy forum doesn't equate to a good forum. It's almost impossible to have a discussion/debate without troll posts. The trolling turns what could be good threads into nothing of value. When CNN had their forums they were ironclad no nonsense on trolling. The mods would delete the posts, no questions asked. Large size fonts? Deleted immediately. That went for left or right. What it did was create a good environment to discuss the issues. Trolling was a waste of time.

My suggestion is to give it a try. It has become rather pointless to get involved in the forums because the issues aren't discussed. It's simply attack the right or attack the left. The present format doesn't work.

If we catch it in time we split off the bad posts but if it goes too far and in the staffs opinion it would emasculate the thread and make it hard to follow we just lock it.Sometimes we are just too lazy to do it too.

I really think this question has been answered many times. Someone should lock this thread.

I don't ever do it because it erases all the evidence of the offense...
