I'd think they say anti-bird killing since they want to keep up the whole "Lets protect the Animals and be one with nature" |

| When it becomes an airborne virus it won't matter. It will make 1918 look like a picnic. |

| Kill em all. If there's even a hint of a bird having the flu, it should die. |

They are animals, thats why they have killed by the thousnads. Its actually worth the expensive to try and save a person, but its so much cheaper, and easier to kill the chickens. If thousands of chickens have to die to save a person, thats great. Humans life alwys outwieghs the lives of chickens. |

Well, there is a difference between humans and animals. If you cannot see it you are beyond help.
In any event, PETA exterminates thousands of animals a year as is and I think would stay mum on the issue. |

That's pretty disturbing. To hold a man at the same moral significance as a rat, or that burger you ate last week. It turns my stomach to know that people exist that think this way, for all my hopes and dreams are dashed. |

Yea, your Dreams of a world free of every animal (other then Human I assume) and natural resource. To bad your dream ends in a nightmare when you finally wake up and understand that man does not weave the web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. Have a good morning John, welcome to reality. |

No troll. Just calling it the way it is. Are you shocked?
If we do not dispose of the infected poultry, we take the great risk of having the bird flu spreading through out the world. Then the web of life will truely have less stings.
Killing a few to save the many is a fair trade; especially when the killing is done to a population that is specifically grown for the purpose of consumption. |

"When it becomes an airborne virus it won't matter. It will make 1918 look like a picnic."
This is highly inaccurate.
It won't become airborne it will be transmitted through dust from poop shaking hands and close contact. It will spread to all 4 corners of the globe through all feral species of bird. It has not mutated to a more contagous human form however other animals seem to contract it. The H5N1 also only kills about half of all infected and i am willing to bet most of those were children or seniors and people with out adequate immune systems. Bird flu for the time being and in my opinion is not going to do to much.
It is just another scare to increase the profits of pharma corps and to increase fear and the need for protection. Like Sars and west nile H5N1 is over hyped and though it should be highly monitored i would not worry to hard. Thats what they want you to do.
Am I a beleiver in bird flu? Hell no I haven't had the flu or any other illness accept the odd runny nose or head cold in over 9 years. I have not one vaccination my whole life.
Vaccinations weaken your immune system by simply not letting it have a work out. People with flu shots will be the first to die it is unlikely those who have remained untouched by the flu or let their immune systems evolve and get a good work out once in a while will get any of this crap over here. |

While I agree that people are overreacting, vaccinations do not weaken your immune system, they prime it and are good to have.
I doubt there will be a vaccination that works against a H5N1 strain that has mutated to a highly contagious form. I'm not worried about it mutating though. There were 5 other "deadly" strains of avian flu in the past 100 years and only one went a bit bonkers. It is highly unlikely for the mutation to happen. And, if it did, I still wouldn't worry about it. The death rates would be very low for a "global epedemic" and I think I would be able to ride it out. I like my chances. |

That's my feeling towards Republicans too. |
