I belonged to to a forum where once upon a time the administrator introduced a bit of coding (I can't remember exactly what it was) which meant the name of the poster viewing the thread came up.
So for example by posting..
Quote: "I hate you [poster]
if someone called NUBS was looking at it he would see....
Quote: I hate you NUBS
Needless to say it caused great confusion among those who couldn't understand it and great hilarity among those who could!
In the end it was being overused and had to be withdrawn to restore some sanity to the forum. |
