History has proved that humans are very close to being naturally "evil." We have the basic instinct of survival, even at the deterrence of others of our species. Humans are constantly at war with one another, from large scale, to personal levels. Taking away the desire to hurt or steal from human beings is near enough to impossible. It is practically inevitable that the human race will eventually run down on its own agenda, slowly destroying itself. It may be that there is an answer, but it is far too early right now to try to predict what that answer is.

The key to limiting the drive to take is found in the formation of complete communities. Laws and morality must support each other to be effective. There cannot be a cop on everyones soul at every moment of the day. If law is to work it must support what people want, and not bother with what it cannot do. You think property is a right, but property as a right ends with people without property being second class citizens. No one wants to impose a communism that has no moral support, nor precedence, and will not work.
Ultimately property is possessed because those without that property respect the person that owns it; a respect which property rights and supporting law destroys, which no law alone can support. Let me try to say that over. We hold property because we are respected, and not because property is protected. The respect of property, and the support of property with laws leads to the dissolution of society, and the destruction of mutual respect which all peace depends upon.
Still the taking and the having is great fun, and property rights, which are no rights at all since they are destructive of society and of peace and amity -tend to make wealthy islands of some people in a sea of poverty. Political rights follow economic rights, and the path to a long lasting free society is in unremitting pressure on wealth to prove its social worth, it honor, and to support the country. No one should own more than they can defend, and if they do, they should be hard pressed. Looking only at America; when property supported the nation, labor was expensive, and property was cheap. Those without the desire to make property pay its way -sold it and moved on. Now property is dear, and labor is cheap, and especially so because it supports the nation into poverty. On top of all the rich people who own far more than they can defend is a population owning only endless debt, which sells its children into warfare in the hopes of opportunity for something better. We have become a nation of kings and a mercenary people.
