When most people think Eugenics they think Nazis Hitler and racism. But eugenics is also tied into with planned parenthood and it's founder Margaret Sanger. It seems that her and her organization went from trying to forcefully control the numbers of certain races and other people deemed undesirable to suckering them into controlling their numbers for her.

Regardless if you are for against abortion we all heard the rhetoric "it's my body",where does it come from or how did it originate?
More than likely such rhetoric came from the likes of Margaret Sanger and other Eugenicist. What a better way to coerce people into controlling their numbers by instilling this idea that they can control whether or not they have children other than just abstinence and that sexual gratification is more important than anything.

Here is the rhetoric she conned generations of women with in order to get them to control their numbers themselves with out forcefully sterilizing anyone.

A woman's physical satisfaction was more important than any marriage vow,

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Margaret_Sanger

"The basic freedom of the world is woman's freedom. A free race cannot be born of slave mothers. A woman enchained cannot choose but give a measure of that bondage to her sons and daughters. No woman can call herself free who does not own and control her body. No woman can call herself free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother."
"Woman must have her freedom; the fundamental freedom of choosing whether or not she shall be a mother and how many children she will have. Regardless of what man's attitude may be, that problem is hers; and before it can be his, it is hers alone. [npg] She goes through the vale of death alone, each time a babe is born. As it is the right neither of man nor the state to coerce her into this ordeal, so it is her right to decide whether she will endure it. That right to decide imposes upon her the duty of clearing the way to knowledge by which she may make and carry out the decision. [npg] Birth control is woman's problem. The quicker she accepts it as hers and hers alone, the quicker will society respect motherhood. The quicker, too, will the world be made a fit place for her children to live."
Woman and the New Race, Chapter 8, "Birth Control; A Parents' Problem or Woman's?" New York: Brentanos Publishers, 1922.

Margaret Sanger's racist vision and the people she used as tools.

"[We propose to] hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. And we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

Other interesting quotes by Sanger.

"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."

"The campaign for birth control is not merely of eugenic value, but is practically identical with the final aims of eugenics."

"Birth control: to create a race of thoroughbreds."

http://wilde.acs.its.nyu.edu/sanger/documents/show.php?sangerDoc=143449.xml

http://bevets.com/evolutionconsequences.htm

"Before eugenists and others who are laboring for racial betterment can succeed,
they must first clear the way for Birth Control. Like the advocates of Birth Control,
the eugenists, for instance, are seeking to assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit.
Both are seeking a single end but they lay emphasis upon different methods. …"
—Margaret Sanger, "Birth Control and Racial Betterment." Birth Control Review,
February 1919, (vol. III, no. 2); p. 11.

Sure planned parenthood claims that Sanger was agaist abortion and that it was illegal in her time. For some reason I feel asking planned parenthood on the issue of their founder and the purpose of their creation would be like asking a cigarette company twenty years ago if smoking posed any health risk.

So if it smells like a Nazi acts like a Nazi is it a Nazi?It seems the soul purpose of planned parenthood is the extermination or control of people they deemed undesirable.40 millions abortions world wide each year seems to be a effective means of controling the population(http://womensissues.about.com/cs/abortionstats/a/aaabortionstats.htm)

Very interesting post. I'm pro-choice, but hate the stance Planned Parenthood has taken on abortion. They always seem to have a very unsafe mentality about sex. I enjoy reading dirt about this organization.

Their mentality seems to match that of their founder.

I don't think Sanger's rhetoric is actually about feminism and sexual freedom, I think it is mostly for greasing the wheels for eugenics,

What right does PP have to plan parenthood for anyone?

Why don't the abortionists at PP just plan their own parenthood and stop child molesting the rest of us?

Wiat, they're actually planning everyone's parenthood? And here I thought they were a group who offered counseling and defended peoples' access to safe birth control and abortion.

Man, my parents are going to be pissed when I call and tell them that they didn't actually have free will while raising me.

EDIT: and yes, I understand that sanger believed that stopping the unwashed masses from reproducing too much would be agood thing, but the point is that the ends seem to have been lost in the means on that score, thank goodness.

An interesting post, certainly. In reward for your efforts I have brought you two gifts.

The first is a clump of blank space, to seperate the sentences from each other after periods, as it was meant to be:
"

"

Use it sparingly, you can't get blank space just anywhere- you've obviously run out.

The second is a few commas, to seperate those long, rambling, un-injectured sentences:

",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"

Regardless, an interesting post. I hope you take my presents to heart.

And, some rape victims who say "It's my body" probably didn't get a lot of "sexual gratification" out of it. But now I'm just being nit-picky.

Altogether though, very interesting, if only a tad unreadable.

Good day.

I agree. Many of the pro-death individuals(abortionist) do not see them as children and like the Nazis they have dehumanized the innocence in order to justify killing them in cold blood.
