Fred Phelps is a bizarre man. The weirdest thing about him is that, if you deconstruct his message, he claims that he actually "is the only who loves the f*gs." So, by condemming us, picketing our funerals and the funerals of military men and women, he is loving us?

Leviticus bans a lot of things, homosexuality just being one. However, most Christians would say that those laws are no longer applicable, and were abolished by Jesus's teachings in the new testament.
However, for those Christians who still preach and condemn homosexuality based on Leviticus, well....they are just hypocrites if they wear poly-cotton, eat pork, eat shellfish, or associate with women who are on their period. |

Fred Phelps is the worst kind of scum there is, on a level with Hitler and his Nazis. As luck would have it, I just returned home from a production of The Laramie Project. VERY powerful play, as I'm sure anyone who has seen it would agree. Out of curiousity, I then proceeded to check out Phelp's website. Fred Phelps is notChristian. He openly contradicts everything that Christ Jesus ever taught. Take for example,
"Judge not, lest ye be judged" Matthew 7:1
"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone" John 8:7 (Not that I wish to imply that homosexuality is indeed a sin. However, even though Phelps does believe so, if he followed this command, he would erase godhatesfags.com in an instant)
"But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you," Luke 6:27
I think you get the general idea. Jesus never taught his followers to hate anyone, not even their oppressers the Romans. What the so-called "Westboro Baptist Church" preaches is a perversion of everything Jesus taught, and should be recognized as such. |

Yes, Christians do condemn even if they say they dont since saying that a person deserves hell for a sin is to allow condemnation.
And most churches allways preach how "evil" the actions of homosexuality is. |
