Oh, as for why people have been banned -- we have discussed it enough with those people that needed to know and we will not discuss the issue further, other than to say that those who have been banned have broke the rules.

Broken, Rob. They've broken the rules.

Notonly were you quoting me, but I do believe "broke" does work in this sentance, as does "broken."

I was making fun of you...for when Rob used "soars" instead "sores" in the mod forum...

Broke doesn't work. I don't know why...it just doesn't.

No it doesn't. Neither does "sentance."

You would know if you were on the list if you got a "Warning PM."

It's all in the rules of the forum people.

"Broke is past tense"

Say it to yourself Galt. Broke does not flow in that sentence correctly. Besides, Prae and I have already decided that it is incorrect grammar. Your opinion has been vetoed and you are wrong.

unless one is a spammer, bigot or a plant/spy it's actually pretty hard to get summarily banned here. The most common causes for warning a poster are personal insults and trolling. Staff offer the recipients many chances to alter their posting style before losing patience, but patience does run out.

And I agree.

....banned have broken the rules.

or

....banned broke the rules.

is correct

have broke is not correct.

Saying it to yourself can be misleading. For example, "I graduated from St. John's" is incorrect, and "I was graduated from St. John's" is correct. I am not convinced that it was an incorrect use of "broke."

"Broke is past tense"
Exactly. You were using the pluperfect tense...its usage is signified by conjoining "had" with a past participle. Let's read it together:

Bartleby wrote: Broke is past tense, broken, past participle of the verb break.

Do you still have my warning form like, 10 years ago on there? Because that would be creepy
