Well, I was brainstorming last night, ways to help keep the scrotom too warm for sperm survival, without causing discomfort.

My best idea is to wear a pair of those tummy tucker shorts, the tight ones that make you sweat, you know- and eat alot of peanuts and chicken.

The second best idea I have is to wear just briefs, and carry a small washcloth, a dry one. A few times a day, you can heat the washcloth in a microwave, and then put it between the penis and the scrotum, or even around the scrotum, like a cup, in addition to the peanuts and chicken rich diet. Be sure that the chicken is estrogen fed, though (most chicken seems to be)

The third idea was to buy "hot hands" glove inserts. They are little warming pads, that stay hot for 8 hours, but I am not sure how warm these get, so be careful to not get burned down there. That would really hurt...

Anyways, it may not be foolproof, but if you use the shorts or washcloths or hot hands, it PROBABLY will work, and you wont LOOK like youre stuffing your shorts, pants, etc.. That would be a little embarrassing anyways...

Just wanted to share some tips on natural birth control for men... for anyone who is interested.

Is this a joke? Take toxic chemicals? put a steaming hot washcloth into your pants? eat estrogen-chicken? I almost fell off my chair laughing.

You might want to be careful though, doing such things for long enough could permenantly take away a man's ability to reproduce.

When others catch wind of these practices, birth control will be the least of his worries. :lol:

Well, condoms are only 99% effective if used, handled and maintained properly, which, sadly, is not the case. Condoms only really work about half the time, according to recent studies.

And Coral- I was not insinuating that you do something to destroy your body. You can read as far into it as you want, but the fact is, keeping your sack warmer, and eating some peanuts and chicken, will keep your sperm count lower. You can also reverse this process by allowing your sack to cool off, and taking a break from eating chicken and peanuts.. Obviously none of these cause sterility.

There is no need for hostility. If you dont like it, dont use it, but dont bash me for simply bringing it up, thanks.

Half the time? I think condoms are effective 99.9% of the time, preventing the spread of STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

BTW not altogether fond of that idea of peanuts and chicken idea :) .

Whaaat? Are you kidding me. You saying one out of every two times I use a jimmy hat it is failing altogether. Pregnancy is 50% with condoms? Sounds like BS to me. You really need to show something to back this up, or retract the statement.

Is it realistic to use this as birth control? I just can't see how any guy would change his diet 24 hours in advance of an anticipated lovemaking session. If they are active, as in once a day, he'll have his fill of peanuts pretty quick.

If he is healthy with normal counts I wouldn't count on a slight alteration of diet to protect against anything. I would think two married people would be better off using the birth control pill. If she's over 40 her egg quality, or lack of, is probably sufficent for natural birth control anyway.

Vasectomies are generally reversible.

And, there are promising results with a new form of "temporary" vasectomy that involves applying little plastic clips to the vesicles. Ten minutes and an outpatient visit to apply them, ten minute and an outpatient to take them out again-- with practically zero recovery time.

Because condoms need to be stored in a cool environment, or their durability can be compromised.

But to 50% effectiveness? Surely, we are misinterpreting when you say 50%, Sailor. Crikey, unprotected sex has less than a 50% conception rate. Use condoms for your entire life, maybe, and there's a 50% chance of pregnancy, higher if they are used improperly. But even that seems a bit of a stretch, unless you are constantly sexually active for 20+ years.

Depends on how many methods you use, really, and if you use additional spermicides, also- which I dont reccommend since spermicides can comprimise the latex, and then you can get STDs.

Sure. not very effective, in typical use, that is. Like, for example, ever put your penis on a girl before it was covered-- well thats a good way to get a girl pregnant. The wet stuff on the tip there- thats called semen. Most people dont wear them properly, either, and because of the one size fits all, some men have problems with them slipping off. Some women are so well built that they can actually pull condoms off with their kegel muscles, but we dont do it on purpose... but the point is, if the condom is not all the way down the shaft, and even gets pulled partway off, then some of that precum gets pulled towards the base of the penis, and can get inside a womans vagina. Even getting sperm on the outside of the vagina causes pregnancy to happen. Some people dont know to pinch the tip, or to not unroll the condom before use. Some people (as is suggested by planned parenthood) will carry a condom in a wallet or a purse, even if they are not sexually active, and these are hot places, rendering a condom ineffective.

Mail order condoms- if they sit in a hot truck for a couple hours, even, the latex is comprimised. Then they have to get put in the mailbox...and bam theyre even less effective than they were when they got there.

Store bought condoms are delivered in trucks with no climate control. They are sometimes delivered in the morning, but there are traffic jams to think about, weather problems, etc, that can cause the condoms to have to be in a heated environment- rendering them useless.

So yes. Heating your balls up for a few hours before having sex (and using the toilet before the date- to hide the washcloth, hot hands, etc...) can really help tremendously.

And yes. Its actually more like 5- 40% likeliness of perfect use. The rest of the time, the condoms are about 86%-88% effective. So, basically, between 60 and 95% of the time, only "typical effectiveness" is likely. Plus, Condoms do not protect you from getting warts.

i'm not going to leave it up to some warm washcloth to kill the billions of sperm i'm producing. All it takes is one sperm to get through and....


plus, birth control pills are cool--no periods and no PMS. Plus, it clears up your skin. WHo could ask for more?
