I realise this is a revisit, but I thought of some neat ways for men to partake in birth control- naturally.
Quote: Causes for male infertility (low sperm count) include tight-fitting jeans and underwear that heat the scrotum and testes, thereby inhibiting sperm production. Very hot baths may hasten the death of sperm. Environmental pollution from cigarette smoke, heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic), pesticides, solvents, toxic chemicals, aflatoxin (a fungus found on peanuts and grains), and synthetic estrogens in poultry and dairy feed all interfere with sperm formation and protection. In a study of 100 males, aflatoxin levels in infertile men were 60% higher than in fertile men.

Basically, it says that overheating the testicles will cause sperm to die, right?
Well, I was brainstorming last night, ways to help keep the scrotom too warm for sperm survival, without causing discomfort.
My best idea is to wear a pair of those tummy tucker shorts, the tight ones that make you sweat, you know- and eat alot of peanuts and chicken.
The second best idea I have is to wear just briefs, and carry a small washcloth, a dry one. A few times a day, you can heat the washcloth in a microwave, and then put it between the penis and the scrotum, or even around the scrotum, like a cup, in addition to the peanuts and chicken rich diet. Be sure that the chicken is estrogen fed, though (most chicken seems to be)
The third idea was to buy "hot hands" glove inserts. They are little warming pads, that stay hot for 8 hours, but I am not sure how warm these get, so be careful to not get burned down there. That would really hurt...
Anyways, it may not be foolproof, but if you use the shorts or washcloths or hot hands, it PROBABLY will work, and you wont LOOK like youre stuffing your shorts, pants, etc.. That would be a little embarrassing anyways...
Just wanted to share some tips on natural birth control for men... for anyone who is interested.
Comments? Please share!!! :-D |

| Interesting ideas...but, I have to say that, as a man, I don't think I would be up for stuffing a heated washcloth down my shorts. ;) |

Well no, the assumption is ways to reduce the likelihood or pregnancy while still getting to have sex. Many people don’t want to give up sex. |

You know, schools should teach kids the truth about sex, Show them graphic images of herpees, introduce them to a crackwhore, and give them straight messages "the longer you wait, the less of a nasty-w**** you are!"
That'd set them right.. SpellJammer's a virgin, why? Cause he's afraid of the crap he might catch, with over 66% of the American population being liberal with sex, and 27% of that population having STDs. (Not counting stds that can't kill you..) SpellJammer does NOT like the odds.. |

Right. I've started smoking and eating chicken and peanuts non-stop. My breath is terrible, and I've put on about twenty pounds due to cardiovascular exercise becoming far too difficult (mostly from the smoking). Believe me, I was as surprised as anyone for my metabolism to slow down so fast. Well, I'm not the spry 18-year-old I used to be. I'm 19.
I've been using one of those heat pad things too, and after a couple mishaps (shudders), things have been going well. I was talking to a girl the other night, and she asked, after glancing at my overtight pants and bulging crotch, "Is that a heatpad, or are you just happy to see me?" and I said, "Actually, it is a heatpad." (I was amazed how on-the-money here guess was). She didn't seem impressed, and neither did her friends.
So, I didn't end up having sex. And that's a pretty darned effective method of birth control. Thanks, Sailor.

In all seriousness, props on thinking outside of the box. I think that these solutions might be minorly effective, but they're simply too big of a bother for most men, myself included. |

LOL. You could buy a pair of those 'hood pants, where the crotch hangs below the knees. You could keep a heating pad there and still have enough room for a carton of cigarettes and a bottle of scotch. |

You could also take estrogen pills, get intouch with your femmenine side..
Or perhaps hypnosis! Whenever you're going to have vaginal sex, your psyche thinks of a disturbing image like Michal Moore in a thong or something.. |

While I applaud you for sticking to your convictions, I have to disagree with you on one thing. Being sexually active doesn't make you a wh*re like you said. |

| Depends, if you mean sexualy active with one partner more power to you, but SpellJammer would say after about three sexual partners, you should be considerd slutty, then by the fifth partner you're a downright w****.. |

Im not against contraception, in general, but none of it is very effective.. I am against birth control pills, rings, patches, the IUD, and other hormonal methods- theyre the most effective, but they really wouldnt need all these new types of these B/C is the originals were really effective... so theyre only as effective as, say a condom is..
Plus, if you keep your sperm warmer, they will die faster, and then if a condom breaks, you dont have to worry as much about an unwanted pregnancy... or an abortion...
I honestly wont ever marry a man who refuses to use male birth control methods, and withdrawal doesnt count as one that can be picked.
There are new male birth control pills coming out, also, by prescription. The fact remains, many women and men rely on natural methods of birth control, because natural is typically the safest. They use rhythm method, ovulation prediction kits, breastfeeding, withdrawal, and yes- warming sperm.
Lets face it, guys- without unwanted living sperm, there are fewer unplanned pregnancies. I am not even saying that this should necessarilly be used all day every day, just suggesting it- if you have a very active sex life, and are married or committed. (typically married and committed people have more active sex lives than people who date casually or are single) But really, if you wanted to just take a hot bath first or sit in a jacuzzi for a half hour before sex, that might help, too...
The point was not to make people stuff things in their pants or anything they were uncomfortable with doing, it was only to provide with an added resource for open minded people, particularly the ones who dont like using condoms or birth control.
Not here to dictate, just here to educate. :-D |

Is this a joke? Take toxic chemicals? put a steaming hot washcloth into your pants? eat estrogen-chicken? I almost fell off my chair laughing.
You might want to be careful though, doing such things for long enough could permenantly take away a man's ability to reproduce. |
