Is there a way to somehow "restore" items that were dumped from the Recycle Bin?

As long as you have'nt reformatted the HD, there are programs out there that you can try to reclaim the lost data. And even if your HD was reformatted, but then the costs go way up. |

I have one other question, is it possible to put a password on certain folders to prevent accidental deletion? |

You can even HIDE folders from open view. Sometimes, XP does this automatically from formatting, such as in Control Panel settings folders, until you change the setting and make them viewable. |
