i am a huge fan of what is done here, otherwise i wouldn't have stuck around for a year and a half. i have never been in trouble with you all and i have never complained, much, abbout what goes on. So i feel i can bend an ear or keyboard or whatever.
1) can we do away with the hiding your status online? i understand if you're a girl and some guy is being creepy this helps you but the rules her are so that if that happens you can just get rid of the creepy guy. i just find it an inconvience to see people post yet not see them online. i do pms with maybe five people. and when i have nothing to make fun of Rob about it's four. :lol: anyway i just think it's annoying to see people are logged in but you can't see who. thoughts, comments, go ahead blast me, but be gentle, i have a cold.
2) can we please, pretty please, with splenda on top keep politics and jerk stuff out of the lounge. i am this close (my fingers are close together right now) to smashing some posters in the lounge. gus and girlnextdoor have done some work in this area lately but i don't want the lounge to become p&g. i know give me examples jerko hannerhann well, i'll get right on that.
all this being said. everyone does a good job and i appreciate my membership. where are the sandwiches again? |

1) No. I'm not entirely sure what you'd need to do to remove that option anyway. I suspect it wouldn't be more then removing an option on the Admin CP but I haven't delt with PhBB for a while.
2) I agree with you 100%. Politics in the lounge is VERY annoying and it's coming from both sides. Frankly we need more active moderatorship if you ask me. The ones that are active do a very good job (GND, Gus especially) but it seems like a lot of them are never around. It's not up to me of course but if people aren't going to be around they can at least give up their moderatorship temporarily. |

Some people want the anonymity that hiding their online status gives them.Some don't want to be bothered by PM's when they are online so they like being able to hide that fact.The admins can see all the people online (hidden or not).We aren't going to do away with the option. |
