In the Arab countries apparently complete freedom of speech and freedom of press is not tolerable because it is in conflict with the predominant religion there, but in the western democratic nations freedom of speech is a fundamental right at very core of our freedom and way of life. What it is looking like here with all these demands and protests is that those countries and their people are not just satisfied with governing their own countries but seek to govern all others and expect all other nations to be submissive of their demand on our conduct and behavior to submit to their laws rather than to respect our rights to have our own laws. This is unacceptable, it would be best for them to just understand that we are not bound by their laws or their concepts of controlling speech in opposition to our free speech. We have freedom of speech and freedom of religion that is simply not on the table for negotiation, we have it, we always will, no one can take it so it is just plain ridiculous to make any hay about it.
