Can anyone please explain to me why muslims should boycott Denmark ?
I just can't see how it is logical to boycott an entire country because one
newspaper decides to print cartoons that offend you.

Ugh... here goes.
The Danish government refuted the case of the Muslim ambassadors after the cartoons came out. Seeing this opportunity, the cartoons were reprinted. The Danish government stayed silent over this issue. Thus, to send a message protesting such a desecration, we decided to boycott the government of Denmark. The papers are not sold in the Middle East or any other Islamic country to begin with, and thus the Muslims saw this option: boycott. Petitions and letters of repeal were sent. Nothing worked. THus, the boycott continues. It's producing results: the Danes already suffered a $2 million loss.
What surprises me is that many Norwegians, like Deus (user name), are actually outraged at those cartoons as well.

Well the Danish government is not responsible for publishing those cartoons and they can't stop anyone from publishing them.

"The Danish government cannot apologise on behalf of a Danish newspaper... Independent media are not edited by the government," he said." The Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen

Were the petitions and letters sent to the Danish government or
to Jyllandsposten ?
