Mary Shelley. Think about it. Not only did she marry Percy Shelley and write 'Frankenstein' but her mother, Mary Wolstencroft, the prototype feminist and authoress of the 'Rights of Woman' died giving birth to her. Who knows what she would have gone on to write if it wasn't for her being born?

Jesus.

Even if you don't believe he was the son of God, he was still an amazingly influential person.

Are you kidding me? Yes print was a great thing but one way or another someone would have invented it. Besides people could still do it by hand. It may take longer but you still could. Gutenberg was probably not as important as Jesus.

Jesus. He had the most profound impact on history, although whether that impact was positive or negative is up for grabs.

Thats true although im sure his affect was probably meant to be positive. Not many people would proclaim themselves "The Messiah" if they meant for world destruction. Makes a good conspiracy though :-D

I don’t know if print would have been invented in the end or not, and it doesn’t matter. In the end Guttenberg is the man who invented it.

From here Guttenberg becomes the deliverer of ALL messages. Had it not been for him, a lot of people till today would never hear of Jesus, not to mention read the Word.

And so many other accomplishments of mankind that followed and where allowed by the invention of print (even this forum) which only goes to show how print sparked a change that is far greater then that of any religion and reached by far more people.

No, not this forum. We use a keyboard to type on the forum. It sends a message to the computer that displays the letter. That is in no way how Gutenburg's moveable type worked.

bulls**t. Monks wrote Bibles by hand and yes it is not effective as print it still delivers the same message as print would have. Besides have you ever heard of the gospel writers? Wrote by hand and monks copied there messages into the Bible. BY HAND!

And Demonic Spoon the only bad thing about Jesus came after his death, The Catholic Church. lol

I agree with the idea but believe it or not bulk printing existed before that in China...Gutenberg however created an easier process. That said printing could have been invented or innovated without Gutenberg.

But based on that wouldnt the inventor of paper be more important ??!

That man is Ts'ai Lun :-D
