I want to ask a few questions about some hypothetical posts that I might make and whether or not they violate the rules around here.

Quote:
Hypothetical comment 1:

"This is a very stupid thing to think, but coming from you, that's no surprise."

Hypothetical comment 2:

"Well I know that you are black, but unfortunately I don't have my boom box with me, so it will be difficult for me to explain this to you. Here's a link to some rap that you can listen to in the background: (inserts link). It might help you to understand what I'm saying."

Hypothetical comment 3:

"Jesus had a foot fetish. This is proof that Jesus indeed was gay. Jesus often enjoyed lavish parties where he would drop some Ecstasy with his boy, Paul, and they would engage in some scandalous activities with each other, further evincing that he was gay."

Hypothetical comment 4:

"The stupid ass neo-cons are totally owned by the Judas. Why the jfewk doesn't America wake up and get rid of the Jews, their small-brained negro and sodomite followers?"

Hypothetical comment 5:

"The stupid ass liberals are always trying to pull some kind of stunt. I truly pity them. As usual the liberals and Dummycats have no ideas. They just fail fail fail. They are a party of losers and America is finally waking up to that fact."

I would like to know if any of these comments, or comments like them, would be tolerated on this site.

Thank you.

1,3,4 and 5 are all prohibited. For profanity among other things. You probably could get away with most of them depending on what forum your posting in and whether it seems satirical or not. I've said pretty bad stuff and I've never gotten warned. Just toe the line with profanity and don't be blatantly racist/sexist or whatever and you'll be fine.

#1 i don't think is prohibited, or at least enforced.
#2 is art, but i think art attracts mod's attention...
#3 is not prohibited
#4 will land you a warning, if your rant was limited to that sentence.
#5 is fine.

They all violate forum rules. The only way you'd get away with it is if a mod didn't see it, or it wasn't reported.

Be polite and you won't have any problems. Some might call it "political correctness." I prefer to call it manners.

I think all but three are in violation of the forum rules. Number 3 is merely claiming that Jesus is gay, which is provacative, but not a personal attack like the others. Though I'm sure number 3 would lead to a ban of someone a post or two later, so I'd probably warn someone who posted number 3.

All troll remarks. Adds nothing to a debate and is intended upon pissing someone off which will inevitably lead to an all out troll/flame fest.

#2 will more than likely get you banned for a racist remark. All will get you in trouble but it's like it was pointed out,it depends on if it's seen or reported to the staff.
