I know that in at least Palestine- Christians can live fairly peacefully so my question involves Christian women. I know that many Muslim women are supposed to wear a hijab (is this right?) but would the same thing be required of Christian women? Or is it just a law applying to Muslims? Just curious.

This applies to a lot of other Arab countries save for Saudi Arabia and Iran. Muslim women are given the option to wear a hijab. It's not really a law in Islam, but more of a recommendation in protection from chastity. Pretty much it...

So I take it that the answer is "no" Christian women aren't forced to wear them?

Under an Islamic state? No way should they be forced. Not even in the West Bank. However, in Saudi Arabia, they are not really forced to wear it in public actually, but many of them do for some reason :? . Muslim women in Saudi Arabia wear the hijab in public as well, but in the privacy of their own homes amongst their family members, it is alright that they don't wear it.

Im Iran and Saudi arabia and and some others, all women must wear it or suffer prosecution, esp in Iran. My friend went to S arabia and she had to wear one or be arrested. I mean In saudi arabia all faiths other that Islam are prohibited. I dead serious.
