I just finished reading "State of Fear" by Michael Chrichton, and I must say it's really gotten me thinking. Like many people, I've generally taken it for granted that Global Waming is a real and serious issue. And yet now I am faced with the fact that most of the evidence available simply does not support the idea of Global Warming at all. In fact, every prediciton made by advocates of Global Warming has so far been proven wrong. 30 years ago G-W advocates insisted that global temperature would rise over a degree C by the end of the century.... and it didn't. There is trulyno conclusive evidence to support the theory that Humanity is causing a global warming trend. While it is true that Humanity is undeniably the cause for increased CO2 levels in the atmosphere, the increase is negligible, and none of the predicted effects of such a change have come to pass, or show any sign of doing so in the near (or distant) future.

G-W advocates like to talk about how the Antarctice glaciers are melting:

Not true, or at least not entirely. While it is true that large portions of the Antarctice Ice pack are melting in one area, most of the ice pack has in fact been growing for over a hundred years. Speaking of which, the section which has been melting has also been doing so for at least the past 150 years, long before humanity introduced mentionable quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere.

In other places as well, G-W advocates like to say that Glaciers all over the world are melting, when in fact most are growing. Sure, some have been melting, but there are literally thousands of glaciers in the world, and only a small handful have been shown to be melting.

While it is undeniable that greater strides should be taken in alternative energies and enviromental protection in general, the evidence shows that Global Warming per se is in fact an international bogey-man that has little or no basis in reality.
