|
|
As i began thinking, abortion laws seem to fluctuate (in my knowing and knowledge of events, i may be wrong) with the people who are "in charge" of America. I am talking about presidents, VP's, supreme court, and all that jazz as a whole.
ok, so in my opinion, the law of abortion (whether it be legal or not) seems more in favour of what the government prefers more than what the people prefer...but then agian a majority of the people in America are christian who are supposed to practice pro-life.
brief explination of you didn't pick up from my slight strays from the topic at hand: i think the government has more influence about whether abortion be legal or not than the choice of the people.
please give your outlook on the situation, im curious to see everyone's views on this. :-D |

uhh..... yes. of course..... what are you getting at? The government has the power. People don't have power. We elect people who are placed in position to be elected by corporations and have no real say in what happens. We can only vote for one of (usually) two candidates both of whom have the corporation's benefit in mind. Their choices don't reflect what the people want very often. Even if they let the issue of abortion be put up to popular vote, they LET the issue be put to popular vote. They have the control. |

The point is, we elect our government officials to represent our views. If we elect people this way, they act the way we deem worthy of our own life choices.
You shouldnt vote for someone because you want them to win. You should vote for someone because they reflect your character and views. Youre vote is not something you enter just to say you voted, it is a statement of who you are, and what you represent. |
