Sorry i keep reading posts with people stereotyping terrorists as muslims, when your taking about terrorists use the term Muslim terrorists, not Muslims... makes a huge difference. Yes the terrorists are mu-slims, but the Muslims are not all terrorists.

50% of my relatives are Islamic. All of them are excellent people and much nicer then my European relatives (for the msot part) Stereotyping against Muslims is very wrong and psises me off.

honestly I can definaley see the hand of the prince of lies in all this, consider the situation; both Jedeu-Christian and Islamic societies seem to be at a great cross-roads in their perspective histories, AND stand at a place where both could learn a great deal from the other.

I'll just speak to what my people could learn from modern Islam :wink:
Islam present of view of greater community, piety, personal generousity, family unity, commitment and general life prioritizing then what is present in the Western/Christian community today.
Muslim countries have far lower crime, suicide, and realative poverty rates then many of their Western Counterparts. The Christian-West stands at a time where we could learn much from our Muslim cousins, yet we are developing a deep seated hate and even fear of Islam, based around the actions of a few overly zealous fanatics with more money then sense(read into that as you will, but both groups have them :wink: ).


Anyways what is more Satanic then getting the spiritual childern of Abraham slaughtering each other over ignorant hatred? :-|

We should get this point to these people. Only thing is, we're Ishmaelites, and according to many Christians, Ishmael wasn't a son of Abraham. Let's hope they see past this not-a-son BS and see that we really are indeed their cousins, who worship the same God, and believe in the words revealed to the same Prophets and Messengers.

As to Fallwell, I remember seeing him on a news show where he was trying to tell the a spokes-man from the Arab-American association that Allah was a "moon-god", and that muslims were infact pagan. To which the other man smiled, and responded "oh, you thought I was a muslim, actually I'm am Arab Christian, and we use the same word as muslims to describe god".

Guys, what do you say we campaign this fact? I mean, let's add it to our signatures. Maybe it can show the rest of the posters how inherently evil it is to deface a fellow cousin; after all, we, the "People of the Book", are sons of Abraham.

Same here, though I probably didn't find it as funny as you did. I find it insulting that someone like Falwell called our religion a "cult" and Allah "a moon God", whereas in fact He is The God of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. But yes, the Christians do use the same word: Allah just means "The God". Allah is actually "Al (The) Lah (God)". Using the word "Lah" alone doesn't make sense.

And yes, I do agree definitely: Abraham is our spiritual father. And to him we are his spiritual descendants. :-D

My family have good Muslim friends in Singapore. I visited them a few days ago. The Grandfather had just died and I was invited round to the house for a meal a few days afterwards. There were loads of people I didn't know there and everyone was fantastic towards me I felt completely at home. One of the granddaughters is real fit as well, I some times hang out with her when I'm here. She getting married though :cry: and I'm gutted. God I would convert in an instant for her. (although that probably wouldn't be the most honest thing to do)

Last week I was working in Malaysia and after work to of the girls I was working with, who were obviously quite religious judgeing by their dress took me out for dinner and we had a right laugh. If I were blind they could've been two nice English girls and I wouldn't have known the difference.

In August I had to go to Pakistan to work. I was there for three days and was given four armed guards. After the first day I dismissed them. Every one was so nice. No one gave me any s**t about being a white westerner. The guys I was working with were very religious, hated violence and very accomodating to other religions. I even got a "Happy Christmass" text from one even though I hadn't spoken to him since. :)

These are the reasons that it pisses me off when wankers start going on about Islam is evil and all Muslims are terrorists. I KNOW for a fact that that is a load of bollocks born out of pure ignorance and racism. Also being brought up a Catholic in England and the IRA blowing up the UK I know what Muslims are going through at the moment.
