From my understanding and what I've heard from assorted Muslims, The Koran is simply a different interpretation of The Bible.
Do Muslims ever use the Bible in any of their teachings or for references at all.
I can understand why Christians don't refer to the Koran, but I don't think I've ever heard of Muslims using the Bible for any religous teachings.

Not trying to start a flaming debate here, just curious.

No problem. :-D

You will actually find out that many verses in the Koran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are actually similar to what you see in the Bible and the Torah. Of course, we do quote the Bible and Torah sometimes in our religious discussions because they are indeed revered books. However, the Bible and Torah, as we believe, have been modified somewhat but they are not 100% corrupted. Whatever contradicts between the Testaments and the Koran, we stick to what the Koran says.

Nope. We, muslims, believe that (as Moath said) the bible was modified and so it doesnt represent God's unmodified words.

I have a question concerning the creation belief in the Bible. Does Islam hold the same beliefs concerning the description of how man was created? Do they believe that God or Allah, breathed the breath of life into the nostrils of Adam? Thanks in advance.

Well, I dunno about the nostrils part, but yes, I think that God did breathe into Adam to make him live. About the theory of Creation in Islam, it's very similar to the Genesis story, but there are quite a lot of differences as well. As soon as I have time on my hands, I will get back to you.
