What percentage of Suicide bombers are individuals who've lost a femily member?
In the US when the elections were between bush and Kerry, A large factor in the election was saftey against terrorism. thats where i think Kerry got the snot beaten out of him.
I believe Left-wing newspapers internationally groand when Bush was Reelected and alot of people call him a terrorist.
its a sad though but maybe Palestineans feel safer with a group who wont be all wishy washy at the table. maybe they're sick of the table and want to hold out until the Israeli's come to their table. as someone said earlier (or perhaps on another thread) maybe they elected Hamas because they thought they would be better than fatah.
also having a group like Hamas could be a defensive move. Israel was not afraid to Mash over Fata's Palestine.
Hamas is like the Serpent the 13 US colonies.

Good question. I reckon a good number of them, in the majority, though I still think that suicide bombing is less than honorable.

I guess so. You've got a good point. |

The Fatah was without doubt not delivering for the Palestinian people. Change was inevitable. Israel can and will ask itself in the years to come what it could have done or what it shouldn’t have done that might have prevented this victory, but this still does not make it Israel’s fault or responsibility.
Many today excuse the Hamas landslide victory by the fact that Hamas is behind several and many wide social activities, that they might give the Palestinian people more of that money that didn’t really reach them in the hands of Fatch. All this of course, to explain that the Palestinians did not chose Terrorism, as they wanted a new social model.
This would accept this to be true, had I believed all Palestinians to be idiots. They are not. When they voted Hamas, they knew perfectly that they are voting for people who don’t stop at blowing up kids on the way to school as legitimate warfare. The Palestinian voters gave their “ok” for this. And they should be held responsible.
Is this a bad choice they made? Have they made things worse? When I say held responsible does it mean negatively or more in the line of “they deserve the credit”?
I don’t know that, it’s too early. A showdown has started before our very eyes with The Hamas on side and Israel on the other. I doubt that anything serious will happen before the Israeli elections, but once that is settled, two groups with a lot of questions will be staring at each other, eventually some one will have to blink…..
My heart is with the ones from both sides who will pay with blood when it happens... It's sad how It’s sad how certain I can be about it. |
