I assume you made the conscious decision to become a heterosexual at some point, not because you became actually attracted to the opposite sex right?
Being a heterosexual isn't about being attracted to the opposite sex. It is about having the characteristics necessary to engage in reproduction which is the purpose of sex in nature and since every professing "homosexual" is actually a heterosexual male or female with the ability to reproduce, it's silly to say anybody is born homosexual. This idea that there is a gay gene for determining attraction to the same sex is pure speculation based on inconclusive scientific studies. Some pro-homosexual rights activists themselves dispute that a gay gene exists:

Quote: "New research claims to prove that homosexuals are born and not made. Peter Ray thinks that idea is unscientific, irrational - and very dangerous"
Peter Ray is a gay rights supporter writing in a Marxist publication so you can't claim this as right wing propaganda.
Pouring some more gasoline on the fire, eh? |

NARTH.ORG
not saying ALL, but probably alot. I base this on the fact that many "gay" people had similar familial backgrounds (lack of same sex parent either emotionally distant, or never there)
many books written onthe topic. unfortunately, the pro-gay movement has successfully labeled any research as HATE.
Have catagorized anyone citing the facts as BIGOTED, or with a christian agenda.
there is nothing wrong with being gay.
there is alot wrong with accepting something you dont like being.
www.NARTH.org I went to your link, didn't read alot of it but I will. I was just wondering for argument sake, could it work the other way. I mean, could we take a guy like yourself and turn him gay?
not a guy but probably a newborn little guy, raise them a certain way. So your saying that you can't take a straight adult and make him gay, but you can take a gay adult and make him straight? But you can take a straight child and make him gay? So with "proper" parenting could you take a gay child and make him straight? If so, you would never know he was gay, and he could have been born that way. |

This thread was started with the intent to flame, so you shouldn't be surprised.
Exactly. Just reaching its logical conclusion. |

Your logic is twisted and not what I said. So pay attention:
the point was that homosexuality can be a manifestation from childhood and not neccessarily something desired.
the movement to WANT TO heal people who would like to be healed should not be stunted by the pro-homo movement. its like plastic surgery except these people want to "cure" their sexuality.
How can it be :cured? alot of attractions for the same sex come from wanting similar aspect within yourself - or something you desire for yourself. a big dick, big muscles, etc. This congnition is the key to understanding the difficulties people have with being gay. certainly, there are legitimate cases and no cure in that case.
If you read up on it without the "everyones homophobic" filter, you may learn something.
The point is this: not everyone who has same sex attraction is GAY. I know this is upsetting to alot of you - cause you want to increase the available pool. but its true. |

True. Conversely, not everyone who has opposite sex attraction is straight. Few (if any) are 100% either way.

This part is total BS. We don't recruit - that's a myth. That's not to say that there are no aggressive gay people who will go after anyone of the same sex and have trouble taking 'no' for an answer - but they're very much the exception, not the rule. I have known straight guys that were just as bad around women, but I hardly think they're representative of all heterosexual males.
This whole notion of gay people being predatory is nothing more than someone's anecdotal and isolated experience being put forth as representative of all of us. It's a lie used to drum up fear and loathing. |

no, you dont recruit. that would be a form of prostitution.
i did not mean to generalize about ALL gay people. It was more geared towards the foaming-at-the-mouth types who think theyve got everyone 'figured out' (infamous 'gaydar' - "oh, he watches OPRAH - HE IS GAY!"). |

I believe those ex-gay things are dangerous. Have you seen some of the "ex-gays" that come out of there? They are crazy and I feel terrible for them. |
