| I think that those who say they have the freedom to put those materials into their body base their entire assumption that they have a choice. When they become to addicted to those more potent drugs they become enslaved to them. Wheres the freedom of choice then. |

If you take away their ability to put it in their bodies to began with, where is their freedom of choice then? |

Well if they are in position where they are incapable without intervention to quit, then they have no choice. Drugs are such terrible things that an intervention into choice is necessary. |

PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHOICE WHAT TO PUT IN THEIR BODIES
first of all they didn't have to take the drugs to begin with and most likely they won't want to quit, and if they do want to quit they have the choice to go to therapy or not. so they always do have some kind of choice. |

I believe that excessive intoxication is immoral, and that allowing your use of any drug to interefere with your duties as a human being is wrong.
On the other hand, the function of intoxicants as a social lubricant is pretty well noted-- and I believe that there is function in using some classes of psychoactive drugs to explore the boundaries of your mind.
My position on the legality of drugs is based more on practicality than any ideological concerns. |

Even with addictive substances free will is never removed from the thought process. |

Why is it up to others to define what a drug is?
popular assumption is that it is a substance that altars something inside of you.
food does this as well as sex.
I think we depend too much on others to tell us what is/is not a drug. |
