The picture is above ^ in case you missed it. That is the "naturalized citizen of the United States" some wish to protect at the expense of every circumstance and factor in society.
What should we name him (or her)?

I think its smaller. That shows up as four pixels on my screen.
Yes, we should protect it, because it will develop into a human. Maybe even two. |

Well in order to put things into perspective maybe? My son and my daughter both looked like that at one point... although that doesn't really mean anything to anyone here, since they are my kids and nobody elses.
But then... so did Coral, The Anarchist, steen, Locke, galba and myself.
If someone chooses to have an abortion, then fine. Go have an abortion. Just gets me that when someone wants a child, the above would be considered a life, and when they don't.. it's a little speck of nothingness. :? |

Eve was apparently created from a rib. All ribs don't have human rights. Wasn't Adam created from dust? That's where we all came from then. Dust doesn't have human rights either.
I'm trying to give people a visual look at common sense. |

I don't want a child, but it is more than a dot to me. It is something which has a chance to develop into a life. I believe this has some value. I don't think that it has more value than say an adult human female. And as such I don't believe that We should choose to give it rights overriding the woman's.
If I did want a child, however, I wouldn't consider the picture a life. I would consider it potential for becoming a human life, and would value it very much. |

Why should it be killed? Saying that something should be killed due to its size is incredible.
Why is size so important to you, Coral?
Dont forget- your own beloved child would never have come to be, without being the size of that little dot at one time or another....
Interesting how some minds work on here.
To pay thousands of dollars for a little tiny human life form, and then turn around and ridicule it. Wow. Talk about self righteous. |

Dust won't have a chance of developing into a human, neither will a human finger cell. An embryo will. |

Since we're pretending. Lets name it coral. And lets pretend that its in corals mommy's womb. And lets pretend that corals mommy is having those dreaded "second thoughts" that all expectant mothers have. Now lets pretend that corals mommy is sitting in an "planned parenthood clinic," gonna get a consultation from a pro-abortion (pro-murder) duly appointed counselor.......next stop.....abortion clinic....by by coral.
Now that I'm done pretending, seriously coral what are you talking about above. "the expense of every circumstance and factor in society"?
I am pro life, and I know many pro-life advocates, and there is no argument that you can present that will ever change our minds...EVER!!!
Is that the circumstance that you refer to? Your inability to persuade us that the continuing of abortion on demand in this country is not a SICKNESS!
That is the circumstance that is tearing us apart, is our inability to come to a compomise in regards to the morallity of abortion or scientific experimentation on unborn children.
I suppose that the division will remain until pro-lifers can get a whole lot colder, or pro choicers get a whole lot more compassion for human life.

Well thats just not very rational now is it. Why are you even in this forum? If your opinion can't be changed, why bother discussing it? You could state it and be gone. Never to sully our logically reasoning doorsteps again. |

Well meme I am sure that you would love to silence me.....too bad!
Its evident that your opinion is also unwaivering, so what are you trying to say? What are you doing on this forum? Its clear that your pro-choice, so why not just state it and be gone?
Are you attacking me? I thought that was a no no!
If this is truly a debate forum then you need me to debate! Other wise I guess you would just be a bunch of pro-choicers discussing the benifits of murdering children before they are born.
If thats logical reasoning..............whatever dude!!!

In fact it's not, the article greeneye presented convinced me life began at conception. My opinion has changed as arguments have been debated. Sure I started off pro-choice but in my reason for abortion I gave up the that isn't life argument, because i was convinced otherwise. You however stated that your opinion never will change, a far cry from hasn't yet changed.
It simply makes no sense debating someone whos opinion is set in stone, better off debating a stone, at least it gets you outside. |
