hello, I'm doing a project in my philosophy class about political philosophy. Would it be possible to hear your political philosophy? There are few people in my private circle I could ask such a question, so I pose it to you. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, have a nice night.

Megan that is extremely general. would you like to point this in some sort of direction, for example philosophy on how politics started, the effect on society (bringing them together, or dividing them) the truth vs. distortions of politics... |

I consider myself a conservative with some libertarian tendencies. My political philosophy is that people are either good or evil. The good become rewarded while the evil parish under a free society. I believe that a man left free to be the master of his own fate can change the world. I ascribe to the philosophy that people changing themselves on a local level affects the bigger picture. |

| How is a hodgepodge of random political views going to help you with your project? |

The school of political philosophy was largely founded by the Greeks, particularly Plato and Aristotle (surprise surprise).
Plato, in his Republic, posits that the city is a macrocosm of the soul, and that both are comprised of three parts: the desiring, the courageous, and the intellectual. When these three parts operate in harmony, and maintain this harmony, there is justice in the state (and soul). The proper organization of the state is such that its intellectual aspect controls its desiring aspect with its consent, and the courageous aspect defends this arrangement. This three-tier system is, essentially, a benevolent aristocracy.
Aristotle didn't quite agree with Plato's benevolent aristocracy. He believed it too ridged a system to work; for him, the state is not a problem with one perfect solution, but is itself a solution to ever changing problems. Also, he held that Plato's highly structured system doesn't allow for men to exercise justice because they act more like cogs in a machine to the end of maintaining the state than as human beings with agency and volition. For Aristotle, the state is a political forum where equals reach compromises, and no perfect one-size-fits-all model can exist for it.
...This at all the kind of thing you're looking for? |

| I tend to be Conservative but, I look at it as Good people can make just about anything work while if you have nothing but trashy people nothing you do will work. |
