Republicans are right-wing too ("free market", etc.), but they differ from the Libertarians in that they're socially conservative.

Communists are left-wing (duh), in that they support collectivism. Anarchists are left-wing too, but they support voluntary collectivism and are against the state. Democrats are moderate left-wingers (well, for the most part) in that they support Keynesian economics with social programs, although some Democrats are more socialistic.

Basically right-wing and left-wing is defined by economics. "Top" (Authoritarianism) and "Bottom" (Libertarianism) must also be discussed too, but Libertarians aren't "above" or "excluded" from the political spectrum. Go to politicalcompass.org for a more detailed explanation.

Classical Liberals (American English: Liberatarians) are the original left, what is commonly abused today as small-L liberals are just watered down socialists.

The original libertarians were downright socialist (see here). Of course, I was using the term Libertarian in the context of how it's used today; the US Libertarian Party, which supports laissez-faire capitalism. The modern liberals today support, to some extent, a welfare state and less government intervention in a person's individual life (for the most part; and of course I'm excluding government intervention in economic affairs), but I wouldn't call them watered-down socialists. For the most part, they support the current system, albeit with social democratic aspects.

Red Flag, please don't incite Don Quixote. Let him do as he wants without harassment, he's none of our concern.

I think it would be helpful to distinguish between socialists and radicals (anarchists) by giving them separate headquarters. Anarchism, even anarcho-communism, is extremely different from state socialism.

Give me one good reason why I should leave Radical HQ and join a Socialist HQ? I am happy with Radical HQ, and I don't want to be in an HQ with < 3 members.

I have nothing wrong with the green's stance on enviormental regulations, being socialist myself..

I do however have a big problem with thier "let people do whatever" philsophy, considering it was that mind-set that screwedup our eco-system in the first place.. So i'm going to say no..

I'm full on opposed to this.

Me too.

Perhaps we could add a 'Social Democrats' party - not to be confused with the American Democrats.
