| I got 11, but the BBC version of the test is harder than the real one, and there is a book for the real one to revise from. |

11 here, but if those truely are the questions...sheesh, what a load of crap...
Concern 1: Whats point of test if you can keep taking it over and over?
Concern 2: Why are the questions skewed, towards two options being possible and one being ridiculous, I see the same thing in driving theory tests, must make it hellish for someone whos just learnt basic english...
It seems more of a system of making immigrants take on some cultural reading rather then testing them for their understanding and aptitude for integration in everyday British life...
Typical New Labout Pap, and old rope eh? |

You got 6 right!
0-5: Seat in Heathrow arrivals.... 6-10: Seat on the district council......11-13: Seat in Parliament.....14: Seat on the throne
:rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
I mean this is just pathetic. None of those question adapt you to life in the UK, not one.
... A: "Respect laws, the elected political structures, traditional values of mutual tolerance and respect for rights and mutual concern."
B: "Share in the history and culture of an island nation with a character moulded by many different peoples over more than two thousand years."
C: "be part of a modern European democracy, one with a tradition of sharing our ways with the world – and allowing the world to bring its ways to us."..
VERY BAD. Whoever wrote this can f**k right off, I will not respect a structure that allows parties to abuse their position of numerical superiority via an outdated FPTP system. I will not respect a structure that advocates a foreign policy of murder, an internal law & order policy of restriction and an economic policy of "whoever gets the gold from the sales first keeps it". 'Mutual' tolerance has never been what I'd call a "traditional value" in any western nation. That is the biggest load of bollocks I have ever read. B was my answer.
What or who is PG (again, according to the guide)?
A: One of the brand names for the national British drink, tea
B: A Personal Guide, a British-born mentor provided to each immigrant applying for nationality
C: Part of the cinema film classification system
Lmao... My answer was A, PG Tips anyone, although I'm a Tetley man myself  .
And finally, what does Life in the UK tell you it is "very important" to do when engaging a solicitor?
A: Ask if they have a potential conflict of interest
B: Ensure they are qualified in the area of law of concern
C: Find out how much they charge
Even more lol, I thought being serious it was B, but C is an option. :rotf:
Overall, this test is a joke. |

So you do the test, and pass. And then you can look forward to a confirmation ceremony. Here is a link to one such ceremony.

| I got 9. I am appalled I got so high. I don't consider myself British. The test answers were not good though. |

| I got 5, but I should have had 7. Missed two easy ones about Christmas but thought they were trick questions so I guessed incorrectly. |

oh, I'm so sorry I will never criticise anything Tony Blair, or the goverment or big brother ever does again. Please don't throw into jail or room 101.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas yeah I was sort of right I thought I remembered it from a trip to Turkey, but it seems the terms Father Christmas and Santa Claus came about separate of each other and have only now come to mean the same thing. |

| Find out how much they cost I would have thought that was self-explanatory really. Are you really going to hire someone if you don't know that they're going to be able to win your case first??? |
