Don't join the army if you can't hack it. Forgive me but since when did "killing people" be easy anyway?

Totally agree. Its there job to kill people if you don't want to kill don't join the army.

It's not about not killling people, his brain has been f****d up by what he witnessed. It's post-traumatic stress disorder he's likely suffering from, it's a documented illness.

Flashbacks are the main signifyer of it. Whether or not it should be considered a disability or not is what should be debated. Does this stress stop him from working? Stop him from leaving the house? Prevent him living effectively and independantly?

I can imagine a lot of servicemen now claiming they suffer from such syndomes to claim disability pensions now though. Like the article said, there is no definition of GWS.

They have been caused by him wanting to join the army and go and fight. He did that and is now he says he is disturbed by what he saw. It was his choice to join up he wasn't forced it was his choice to experience these things or not. He knew what it would be like.
