It seems to me that the riots had little to do with the girl who was rumoured to be raped. She still hasn't come forward, no-one has identified here or knows who she is and rioting and looting really don't fix this do they?
I understand that the racial tension between blacks and asians in Birmingham is a constant worry to the local community and I still keep on hearing all the reports talk about the 'Black Community' and the Asian Community'. What about the 'Birmingham Community'? Where does this figure? It doesn't.

Detective Superintendent Dave Mirfield, leading the murder hunt, said police had received 12 reports of gunfire during the disturbances, 80 crimes were reported, with 35 people taken to hospital.
Welcome to England, the country which brought you politeness, afternoon tea, cricket and cucumber sandwiches.... |

| Huh. Didn't even hear about this. While not as extreme, the Los Angeles riots saw alot of blacks destroying asian buisnesses and is similar, I suppose. |

Notice how they were all just kids as well. Gotta wonder what on earth the parents are doing.
Also you really have got to feel sorry for the girl, either she was raped and nothings happened or shes made up a story and someones died because of it. |

Or there's no girl at all... the rumours were originally propagated by a pirate radio station (reports the Sun)... |

| This is why I support "Parish Baptism". Send in oiltankers with built in flamethrowers to "cleanse" the streets of "socially deprived" areas. |
