Im semi new to the boards and have noticed the HQ section of PC. I just have a couple questions about them coming from an outsider that has interest in what others think.
What are the goals of having these HQs?
I understand it maybe a source to create a common debate within parties, im asking about what is beyond that.
If your personal beliefs and rhetoric do not align with a party 100% is it something that keeps you out of a party HQ?
ie: my dislike for Bush and Rep HQ
Im not necessarily the most educated person when it comes to knowing what all the alternative party positions on issues/policies. Im defiantly interested with the Libertarian party, and would like to know more about the Green party.
Im not necessarily lobbing for one part or another, im just trying to get a feel for the HQ section and if its something ill take advantage of.
Thanks

Belonging to a party (or hq) doesn't necessarily mean that one has to agree 100% with all the platforms of the party. Many of the members of the LP HQs do not agree with everything that the Libertarian Party advocates. One of the issues we conflict on the most is probably on forms of taxation. Some prefer a flat tax, others want a sales tax, and a cuople others (including myself) want a land value tax ( those ppl are called geolibertarians). So there are debates that go on.
I could tell through your posts that you have a libertarian way of thinking. If you have any questions on libertarianism send me a PM. |

Thier main purpose is to allow people discuss issues among thier own party, with no chance of a person (excluding the mods) butting in.

No, not at all, they are some issues that I don't agree with the LP platform on.
