|
|
I've just been thinking back to the general election a couple of moments ago and remembered how I felt when the man I wanted to lead the Tories after the 1997 election lost his 15,000 majority to Labour's Stephen Twigg.
The cocky little sh*t with the rolling eyes as Portillo lost, smacked of the arrogance of his tenure. Because his majority increased in 2001, he did not expect to lose in 2005 and when he did, he could barely hold back the tears. Bless!
But it was an election where we saw several Labour hacks that were loved by the press as archtypal New Labour in 1997, were sacked by the voters. I mean do you remember the fat journalist and friend of Prescott who alleged to get researchers dig dirt on her gay Tory opponent? Candy Atherton ousted by the LibDems
Let's take a moment to savour the ousting of the controversial and pretty froggish Peterborough MP Helen Clark, caught posing starkers several times and god knows what about her very public private life. She has now joined the Tories.
Or that arrogant Northern **** Lorna Fitzsimmons who complained she was getting enough now she was an MP  She has all of the time in the world now!
Or maybe that paperclips boy who found himself as MP for Shipley. Chris Leslie then become constitutional affars minister, so now we know why its f8cked up. Bless, lost his seat by 422 votes
AND just a final farewell to Ultra Blair Babe bint Oona King. In most ways I loathe Galloway more than her but the sycophant now she has lost office says I don't back the war because of the way Bush has reacted to New Orleans.
Nite nite babes - don't bother coming back, we don't want you! |

| Werid - I remember opening a bottle of champaine the day Portilo announced we wouldn't stand again in 2005. One of the Wet's big guns has gone, something to celebrate no? |

I couldnt give a toss if my PM was gay or not.
Portillo would have made a good PM back in 1997 but kind of become obsessed by his own selfbelief in an ultra modernising agenda. He became rutted in talking the cultural and philosophical without creating a policy base.
As for Twigg, couldnt give a toss if he was gay. You're the one that mentioned his sexuality not me |

Not that i care about people's sexual preference, but i don't see one reference to homosexuality in this entire thread. |
