Many Jews were crucified by the Romans. Jesus was just one of them.

What the hell kind of business is it of yours? Do Jews tell you how to run Cyprus? Who to crucify in Cyprus or not? How to handle your internal affairs?

What Jews do is our thing, and what Greeks do is your thing.
Jesus was a Jew. So what we Jews do amongst ourselves is none of your freaking business. The fact that Jews killed him is ridiculous, but even ASSUMING that we did -- it would be none of your freaking business.
I don't scream at you for what Greeks did to other Greeks in 2,000 years ago, do I? All the tortures and murders....you know better than I do.
Well, what Jews did to other Jews is not for you demand explanations of.

Again, where do you come off as telling us what to do? Early Christians were for the most part Jews, who chose to live in a Jewish country, subject to its law and customs. Because if you consider it your business what Jews did to other Jews, then I am expecting explanations from you about what Greeks did to other Greeks. That would include all the wars between city states. After you explain, justify, and defend to me your internal Greek slaughters, then MAYBE, I will consider explaining to you an internal Jewish matter. But until then, its none of your freaking business.
Now, we are either going to be nice to each other, or the [political correctness insert: radicals among the] Muslims will kill all of us - and Jews and Christians. Believe me, they really won't be too careful at separating. :wink: |

But you do start one here in Judaism forum.
That implies, that somehow, you can live with the concept of Greeks killing Greeks, but when it comes to Jews, you are owed an explanation or something.
Why the double standard?

Don't you understand that Jesus came to earth to be crucified?
If He hadn't; there would be no you and there would be no hope for your immortal soul.
So blaming Jews for what was apparently God's plan all along is just plain silly.
The crucifixion of Jesus was handled in a way that both Jews and Gentile were responsible. Look man, propitiation only works if you yourself have some kind of responsibility for the punishment of the accused. Jesus forgave YOU and died for YOU. If you can't understand that, then you really don't understand the Gospel.
Besides, the Jews are in my opinion are some of the most logical and humane people on the planet. Heck, they don't even eat the meat of a cow unless it was killed humanely. I believe God choose the Jewish people as the golden standard and to prove that ANY people on the planet would have done the same thing. |

He is cool and he speaks his mind, which is why I respect him.
What I don't like is **** who pretend to be puppy-loving pseudo-liberals loving all creatures on earth equally to no end, while at the same time going through every loophole to single Jews out for special treatment. Those (mostly leftist) hypocrites I simply can't stand.
But people who speak straight -- I have no problem with and can respect. As to the fact that he doesn't like Jews -- his problem. To be honest, I don't like the Greeks too much either, since the whole Antiochus Epiphanes affair -- but so what? I don't exactly plan to marry him, and little ethnic dislike shouldn't be a bar to a nice conversation. :) |
