The argument is global warming.

Ha. I heard global warming causes blizzards too. No, really, I did.

Here is what I've heard about global warning’s effect on the hurricanes:

Because of the greenhouse gases, the tropical sea surface temperatures rise and because of that, hurricanes become more frequent and intense.

This thread is NOT about global warming. It's not really even about the New Orleans disaster in specific. It's about the general tendency of some nutjobs to blame gay people for every disaster that comes along. Notice where it's posted - in the Gay & Lesbian subforum.

If you want to discuss those other topics, create your own threads to do so - don't hijack mine.

True, well, at least so far I haven't heard of anyone blaming gays and lesbians for global warming.

Every gay man and woman should flock to the home of Fred Phelps, and start having rampant sex on their front lawn.

Maybe we could incite a Tornado to destroy it :-D

If that actually happened I'd believe in God and maybe een become a monk. It could save all us atheists.Otherwise I think it would be kinda funny -- Fred Phelps has a heart attack, and everyone on his lawn gets arrested for indecent exposure/sex in public which also made the lead story on all the networks, with blurred ideo. I'd laugh.

No, Bush is blamed for that. As he was blamed for Katrina and its "unessecary" destruction by a former Clinton aid, by foreign newspapers, and by many here at home. Blaming the weather on humans is rather moronic and reminds me of tribal humans with rainmen doing dances.

But you missed the point there. Bush is indirectly in charge of the rescue effort for the disaster. He is the man who picks the people who pick the people for the disaster response teams. As a result he is indirectly responsible if the rescue teams fail to perform their tasks. It’s called accountability.

He also took $ that Bill C's adminstration set aside for the levees in NO for his war in Iraq. I am NOT a Bush fan, but he does get blammed for a lot of stuff regardless if he had a hand in it or not. Hey, maybe Bush is gay....
