Youve got someone on a fence. Young. Doesnt know which way is up/down.
Why do gays/lesbians interfere with this process of discovery to instill belief that opposing feelings are natural and should be satisfied?
Ok, you got one thing going for you: the AMA has determined its not a mental disorder.
But, they didnt say that someone troubled with their sexuality is NOT a disorder. In fact, someone questioning their identity ARE disordered if something went wrong because they dont have the same natural acceptance of their identity as a NORMAL homosexual person.
but weve got the militant homosexuals using the AMA's popular position of ACCEPTED HOMOSEXUALITY to proliferate a culture of disordered acceptance.
It may put the bandaid on a wound - but what the homosexual community doesnt acknowledge are these wounds and its NOT RIGHT.
Its selfish to conclude that everyone with homosexual feelings is, in fact, homosexual.
See what i'm saying? |

Frankly, no. We do not conclude that every person who experiences some form of attraction to a member of the same-sex is a homosexual - only those for whom it comprises the very clear majority of their feelings. We do not go around recruiting troubled youth, trying to knock off the fence onto our side. We do not seek to interfere with someone's period of self-discovery; only to provide positive role models and guidance for those who are trying to navigate the pitfalls of coming to terms with the difference in their sexual orientation.
When I was in my early teens (some 30 years ago), there were no positive role models for kids struggling to come to terms with the difference in their sexual orientation. I knew for quite a while that I mostly liked boys, but didn't associate that with being gay because my church, the media, teachers, etc. were constantly bombarding me with the message that homosexuals were all evil people into kinky sex, drugs, molesting children, etc. I wasn't interested in any of those things, so I figured I couldn't be gay. I knew I was different, but didn't know what to call it - hence 'questioning' my sexuality. |
