 the gay guy i know is a... dancer. :rotf:
I'm curious as to why you find that funny. Is it because you can't picture a straight man having the talent to pursue this as a profession, or because you view it as a lowly career unworthy of consideration by a straight man? Or something else?
well.. since i hate all gay people... i'm going to have to say that they deserve the shi**y jobs, such as "dancer." i think a straight man is just so much more intelligent and his nice brain can be used for being a lawyer, doctor, etc. let the gays dance and pick out clothing..

Your sarcasm is both unnecessary and unappreciated. If you can't give an honest answer to an honest question (I did leave you the option of 'something else', after all), then you have my permission to shut your hole and troll somewhere else.
 you know that's what you wanted me to say.
seriously though.. dancing is for girls. guys just need to stick with football, baseball, and basketball.... |

I don't understand your reasoning. First of all, tap dancers are men, they just are. I have never seen a tap dancing women. And you can't have ballet without both men and women.
Dancing is for girls... ha! |

Actually, when someone decides to discard their so-called "dignity" - and become a male dancer - they are usually better than any woman. Just like male chefs, male color guardsmen, male interior designers. They're just better at everything. |

| At the moment I only know 2. My brother and his boyfriend. Both of them are not the type you would think were gay. At least what I mean is that they do not live the stereotype. My brother is a goalie for his schools hockey team ,and his boyfriend played football for the fighting Illini. Anyways I may not agree with his lifestyle ,but that isn't really up to me to agree with. I will just love him like I always have ,and will make sure that he is happy. Which at the moment it seems like it. |

well i consider myself queer in the sense of being against heteronormative gender standards. my best friends both at school and home happen to be queer...i didn't choose it to be so...just happened. my uncle is gay....um and i've got various friends on the contingent.....too many to count really....queer is cool with me.
oh and guys can dance if they please. |

| i know 1 openly homosexual man, and four or five openly bisexual/lesbian woman. i know more when i was in high school, but i lived in northern california, now i go to school in rural missouri. im guessing the percentage of the lgbt population that are outspoken, or even open about their sexuality here is much lower. im sure i know a few more that i just dont realize it about them. |

Sounds to me like someone needs to get out more, or at least consider joining the 21st century.
Suppose a guy isn't good at sports? Does that somehow make him less of a man? Or what if he wants to apply his physicial prowess to something artistic, like professional dance? Does that mean he's automatically a big sissy or effeminate?
Talk about backward thinking! |

I'd have to say 'your loss', clearly not theirs. |

I think that holds true for a lot of gay people once they've found someone to settle down with, long term. I used to interact with a lot of gay people when I was more active in the political scene and leading a discussion group. But I quit that stuff when I moved from the west side of the state. My partner and I aren't very sociable or big partiers - most of our interactions are centered around our biological families. He does bowl on a mostly gay league, so he gets more exposure than I do. The rest of our socializing is pretty evenly split between straight friends and gay friends. |

I didnt realize there was a problem??
I consider it to be immoral behavior and choose not to associate myself with it.
How many serial adulterers do I know? Too many.
How many serial adulterers am I friends with? Zero.
What's the difference?
I apologize for not meeting my quota of homosexual friends  |

I think drinking alcohol is wrong but I still have friends who drink, simply because a lot of people in this country drink and it's not on the same level as murder.
But dude, homosexuality happens in the bedroom, it's a private affair. Whenever you meet someone new do you ask them their sexual oreintation? Or do you break the friendship as soon as you find out? :? |

That is your choice whether you choose to continue to be friends with people who do things you consider to be wrong.
As for your second question - I would end the friendship upon finding out. |
